I took my vehicle for service, recommended by a friend. I was told theybdo good work & would.be ablento fic my issue. I had a engine light on, thatbread code P200A. That said intake manifold runner sensor. Charlie the owner told me my intake manifold needed to ve replaced on my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe SE v6 2 wheel drive. Although the code never stayed that. I was assured it would fix my issue. He charged me $758.72 for that including an oil change supposedly..when picking it up the engine light was still on. Then told.me it was the sensor. He claimed to have ordered it not sure why it didn't come in. We discussed ordering the sensor from auto zone.209 and change. I would get a call when fixed. 4-4-2024, I went there after work my truck was parked in the front. The guy inside said he put the sensor on, but it didn't fix my issue. Engine light still on. Before I could get it to take it some where else to have the issue properly fixed. I had to pay them an additional $214.81. They didn't fix my issue. Driving my vehicle around.. they had ait for weeks I took it to them towards the end of March with a full tank of gas, it was half a tank when I got it back. Since they fixed nothing I should get all of my money back. Since now I have to pay even more money to fix what should have been fixed the first time. This is criminal to steal.money this way from supposed to be an ASE Certified Mechanic shop.i don't have that kind of money to give away. I didn't receive any service. On top of it, my truck was running worse when I picked it. After the supposed intake manifold was put on and the engine light was still on, Charlie ttold.me to bring it back if the light came back on he knew that it would his words. It did I brought it back the next day. 4-42024, the guy wlthay was there wanted me to leave. He said they don't know why the light is on. They should have told me from the start, we recommend taking it somewhere else. I'd like to have all my money refunded. Thank you!

We had the vehicle at the shop and determined that the intake manifold flaps were broken causing the 200a code (which is a generic code) After replacing the lower intake manifold, we determined that a secondary electrical issue was causing the vehicle to no relearn the positioning of the new intake manifold. We replaced the actual sensor for the system. We were unable to relearn the position after confirming corrosion in the old sensor(most likely from being inoperative for an extended period). When I advised the customer that we needed further time with it he began to insult staff at which point he was asked to leave. Not all repairs are as simple as swapping a part, there are software and part updates, which require patience and understanding. The parts replaced were confirmed faulty.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I went to Affordable and Dependable Auto Service after work today to return the intake manifold and the sensor with my wife. Charlie was there. He assisted me directly.  He accepted the parts and issued me a refund amount of $688.73 for the Manifold because he did do the oil change. He also refunded $214.81 for the sensor. That was  the full mount refunded for the sensor too. Thank you for assisting me with this matter. The issue has been resolved.
