      orvis really let me down. I went to their online store. I found a pair of trousers
      listed for $98. with no mention of " buy two pair to get the $98. price.
      I typed the size I wanted to buy, hit the buy button, then paid with my credit card. My credit card company sent a notice of a charge by orvis company for
      $145.50!! I called the orvis service department and was told that the $98. price
      was valid only if I purchased two pair... so I was charged $119. for a pair of pants that was listed for $98. ok I then ask the "gentleman" what the other charge of $46.50 was for.... " oh that was handling, shipping, and tax".... $46.50!!!!!
      to buy a pair of cheap pants made in CHINA!
      I wait and wait. The package from orvis arrives. I hold up my new pants and what do you think..... orvis online sent the wrong size! 14 SIZES TOOO SMALL!!
      I called the orvis service department again. I was told that It was MY FAULT
      orvis sent the wrong size because I must have hit the refresh button...
      I see, I must have refreshed the page so orvis personnel could not see
      the size I ordered so they just guessed and sent the size they thought would fit!
      I sent them back to orvis at the address orvis sent to me online. I get them back in the mail with a "RETURN" label written by hand on the package.!!!
      I am done with orvis. I was told by an orvis employee that all of the
      "imported clothing" is made in Viet Nam, India, Red China and other
      country's with little or no labor laws.
      As I said, I am done with orvis comapny. online or brick and mtortar.
      I'll have to eat the $145.50 and give the cheap pants to a homeless person
      down on his luck.
      I am disabled. I have to bother people to go to the post and other things,
      and, I really dislike having to ask for help all the time.... It is a pain for others
      and I feel bad when I need help. So...... It's back to good oold ******.
      I shop with ****** weekly and they have never let me down, ever!
      orvis is not interested in repeat customers!

      On 11/03/22 I ordered the Orvis heritage field coat. Long story short, when I received the coat I found the materials used are horribly flimsy. The only plus was the wax free canvas exterior shell. I expected much better for the price! I did a review on the Orvis web site giving only one star. On looking at all the one star ratings I found that only 5 had been posted. The newest is 7 moths and the oldest 4 plus years. My post was not listed. Orvis is actually deceiving the public/shoppers by artificially failing to list negative reviews of their products. Probably why they never joined the BBB! Orvis protrays themselves as "friends of the environment", but they are out for the big buck! They will take back the purchased items but hide the bad reviews. Go figure.
