In April 5, 2024 we hired Crystal Clear Inc to stain our front porch, driveway, sidewalks, patio and patio landing area. Mr. Miller used a coat of primer one day then many days later placed a first coat of stain on all areas. He came back later that day collected payment in full and was supposed to put another full coating on all areas, he began to patch areas on the porch and patio during 80 degree weather. This caused the oil based stain to blister everywhere. These areas were pointed out by Mr. Miller. He promised my husband and I that he was going to repair these areas and restrain the entire porch and patio. He returned 1 week later with a small hand sander to sand out the blisters, put another coat of primer on those spots and restained the area. It looked liked a patch work quilt, stains did not match at all. That was 3 weeks go. The job is still not complete. There are still bubbles present on the front porch. Some areas still show the blue primer.
Owner is combative, began yelling at me when I questioned one of his excuses and is very disrespectful. States his staff is not trained in the oil based staining.
He abruptly approached our home before 8am and left empty stain cans and rollers on our front porch and said “have fun finishing yourselves” this was recorded on our ring camera. He advised us he bought new stain but what he brought were empty cans
He blamed the weather for most of the times he didn’t come but he was actually at other “easier” jobs. I have tried to reach out via email and my husband has tried to call him. He is not answering our calls or emails.
I have included photos of the patio where the primer is showing through the first coat of stain. I have also in included photos of the mismatched stain color on the front porch and the blisters in the stain on the front porch.
