      We purchased a Lazy Boy recliner from Grand Home Furnishings. After only about 6 months the color started coming out of the back of the recliner. We called Grand and after about 4 weeks they finally sent someone out to replace the back on the recliner. Same thing happened with the one they replaced after about the same amount of time. I called them and since it had been over a year from the date we purchased they would only replace it again if we paid $119 for a service call plus $50 per hour while they were at the home. I will not ever purchase another piece of furniture from them!!

      I need to take back my complaint about this store with the warranty. I apologize to all of you there that I was upset over the phone. Matt was very helpful when I finally was able to talk to him. I know for fact that we were told 25 year but he said he will take care of us in which I am very grateful for that and will continue to buy from them.

      We ordered a reclining couch and a recliner from Grand in December of 2021. We also bought the extended warranty. The couch broke prior to a year being up. Grand literally told us if we had just came in 2 days sooner, they would have replaced the couch. We then contacted the warranty company, since we had the Platinum Plan. Our first contact was in December 2022. A technician FINALLY came out in February 2022 and stated they expect the recliners to fail after 2 years. O_O Really?? Regardless, after the technician contact, we did not hear back from anyone. We called and called until THIS December, 2023, we were told they cancelled our claim. Long story short, after not being able to stand broken furniture in my living room, they offered to pro-rate our insurance... from a WHOLE YEAR AFTER OUR CLAIM!! We have a broken couch, 2 more months till parts could arrive, and no satisfaction. HOW IS THIS INSURANCE NOT A SCAM??? On top of that... the technician stated they plan for their furniture to break every 2 years!!!! We learned that from Grand Home Furnishings, you get CHEAPLY MADE FURNITURE and YOU ARE SCAMMED WITH THE INSURANCE THEY SALE!

      I purchased a ************ mattress on 07/31/22 on their customer appreciation day sale… I Chose a medium firmest mattress. The mattress came to me at my home out of a box with no tags on it. I noticed the mattress was very firm, was not like the one in the show room. I went back to talk with the sales clerk about my concerns. She told me they start firm and work themselves out? Something she failed to tell me at the purchase point. She also told me I had to sleep on it for 30 days before exchange. I left that day and came back the next day to speak with store manager , I explained the situation to her as I believed I had gotten a defective mattress due to foam defect in bottom left corner, as well as the firmness issue. Manager also told me the mattress would soften with time. I will mention also I purchased a king size ****** pillow that came opened . So at this point I requested replacement of both products, but would only accept them if they were in the closed boxes unopened!! It took a week to get my pillow, and when they came with the replacement mattress on delivery The box was opened and it was retired clothes with huge blue slip ties on the top and bottom. When I inquired about this to the delivery men, they stated that the boxes they deliver always come pre-opened. That led me to believe that this company must be letting people return mattresses within their 30 days, and then re-stocking them to sell as new. The replacement mattress was soft with a low spot like it had been slept in already. I return to the store and after speaking with the VP “ Who was rude and actually laughed at me” I managed to work out getting my full refund. I’m not sure if I got refunded yet it’s only been a couple of days I will check today… want to warn everybody the store is SHADY and The VP is The type of man who would laugh in your face to humiliate you when you know you are on the side of the right. He lied and passed Phone to a supposed ************ representative. Not one!!
