    I entered into a contractual agreement with Mr. ****** *** of Kingdom Construction on or about Nov.25, 2024. Mr. *** was hired to replace and install a new closet system into my master closet just inside of the master bathroom. We agreed upon and per his invoice a total of $1590.15 Of that total I paid $850.00 to start, with the remainder of the amount to be due upon completion of the job. The initial amount was deducted from my checking account on Nov, 26, 2024. Mr. *** removed the contents of the closet. He installed some thick, heavy grey industrial hanging rods into most of the closet. He did not remove the original shelving from a small sidewall of the closet because "he forgot to measure and order shelving for that part." I informed Mr. *** that this was unacceptable and the unprofessional and I asked that he remove the industrial rods as that were not what I desired nor expected. He removed them. Several weeks passed without any communication from him. It was only after sent him a text inquiring about the status of my closet install that I received a long text from him about his current financial hardships. He stated that he had had to take on other jobs to make ends meet. I filed a police report for construction fraud, senior citizen fraud, fraud against an African American female, and fraud against a veteran of the US military. I subsequently sent Mr. *** a certified letter on 3 February 2025, requesting that I be refunded the $850.00 given his failure to complete the closet install. To date, I have not received reimbursement for my funds noted above.

    I am truly sorry that this job ended this way. It was not my intentions to commit fraud against anyone. My family and i did fall on hard times, due to medical issues that we are still dealing with to this day, we have been in and out of the hospital since December and are still waiting on surgery. I allowed my personal life to interfere with my professional life and that is unacceptable and unprofessional. The  mistakes that I made were not intentional nor fraudulent and accept full responsibility for the failure to complete the contract satisfactorily on my part. I have since then returned the $850 deposit for a full refund. I apologize on behalf of my company and myself for lack of the communication and making you feel the way you did.
