Completed 16 Feb 22. Had them install a ramp over the existing steps on my deck to the ground. I was informed by the installer the material selected for the ramp (not the substructure) would satisfy my needs and should work fine. The wood used, about one-eighth of an inch thick, wasn't weather treated and appeared more like indoor paneling than something to be used outside. Since they were the professionals and stated it would work well, I trusted their decision. In less than three months the deck top covering (where you actually walk) began to warp and pull loose from the substructure due to moisture. The top of the deck now looks more like "waves" where the material has warped and pulled loose. The material selected holds moisture and the deck ramp is saturated and in "mushy" when walked on. I contacted the business owner (Matt) and discussed the issue with him and sent him electronic photos of the problem areas. While the work was initially being performed Matt never came to the job location to check on the project. It appears he simply subcontracted the work gave up ownership? After notifying Matt of the issue I received a call from the person who actually did the work. He stated I had asked for that type of material to be used and should I want it repaired it would cost me about $500.00. I told him I'd rather deal with the business owner, Matt vice continue the discussion with him. I completely disagreed with his claims regarding me wanting this material etc. I have tried to call/text the owner, Matt but it appears he has blocked my phone number. This ramp is an absolute weight bearing and tripping hazard. I have done my due diligence trying to have this issue solved in a rational manner but it appears I will be forced to repair their poor work myself or hire a reputable company to do what they didn't do correctly.
