    In mid-October I reached out to this psychologist by email. I told her that I was unsure as to whether she accepts my insurance. She called me to say that she DOES accept my insurance. This is not listed on her website. Based SOLELY on her response, we set an appointment for October 17, 2023. I appeared for the session and we met for approximately one hour. The session was very satisfactory. Twenty-four hours after the session, I received a call from the office manager (a first in my life), ****** *******. PsyD had told me I may hear from her so that she (office manager) "could get more information". This was odd because ALL my paperwork was submitted online on October 16, 2023. In that paperwork, my banking account number was requested, and that, also, was odd and a first in my life. (My insurance company requires me to pay a $25 copay at each session, and I had informed the psychologist of this fact.) During the phone call from ****** *******, the office manager, she said to me , "We do NOT take your insurance, but we want to work with you so as not to break the bank so here is what Dr. ****** is willing to do for you. The intake interview you attended the other day is usually $150 and she is willing to give it to you for half price, or $75.00, and then give you a price of $50 for each session thereafter." I was so very shocked by what I view as an unethical business practice AND blatant misrepresentation, I allowed ****** ******* to withdraw the $75 from my
    bank account. The next morning, the bank card was cancelled by the bank, at my request, to prevent further potential activity. I immediately sent a certified letter with return receipt to **** *** ** ******, requesting a refund
    in the form of a money order in the amount of $75, the money order to be received by me on or before November 1, 2023. I did not receive it. I have received NO communication from this psychologist since the intake. The second session (scheduled for October 24) was cancelled by me.
