ou remove it the bin and the seat you get to the engine. The seat and bin was seated Incorrectly one of the acorn bolts which secured it was busted off from the top. Have pics. Meaning the mechanic forced it into place and smashed all parts that was under the seat. The Locking mechanism light and other critical components under the bin. They pick the bike up. To fix this and they welded the hood shut. Cant open it. Cheaper to weld it shut than replace the mechanism that they broke. They where completely incompetent. Just for the bike back. Cant open the seat the light is on inside the bin burning the battery. Head light was out and signal. When they smashed the bin down they smashed the critical component which latches the seat turns off the light under the seat. Shocked at the incompetence dont make sense. Smashed parts didnt even care. They took the skin off and shouldnt have just under the seat. Ruined the bike welded the seat shut

This is just not at all how this entire situation happened and it is nearly impossible to explain properly in writing. The customer sent us a 2018 Kymco X-Town 300i, NON RUNNING on a rollback in October of 2024. On October 30th, ***************************************************************************************** order to even get the bike to turn on and the battery had failed the load test. There wasn't enough power in the battery to even start the bike. The customer stated in his response that the last shop had mentioned something about a bad battery and that he had a brand new Interstate battery in his possession 70 miles away in *******************. He authorized us to replace the battery. Once we replaced the battery and could actually get enough power to the bike to get it started, we discovered a P0201 DA, Injector, circuit malfunction code. The fuel injector on the bike was seized shut. We replaced the injector (which we had to order from the manufacturer and wait to arrive) and although the fault code was cleared the unit was still non-starting. The technician removed the belt cover housing (the customer insists we removed body parts and panels that we never even touched-- the belt is accessed from outside the bike by removing only the black belt housing, no body panels) and found the belt completely mangled (see photo). The belt was replaced (which we also had to order and wait for) as well as the *** air filter that was destroyed by the failed belt and the unit started and cleared test drives. The customer was called that his bike was ready for pick up and when he arrived to pick the unit up, he loaded it into a rental box truck (there are no anchors or places to secure straps to hold the bike in place.) Several hours later after the customer had taken is unit home in a box truck, he had a whole new onslaught of complaints. He said the seat wouldn't lock, the gas tank wouldn't lock, the ignition wasn't working properly, he had a blown headlight bulb, a check engine light that come up but went away, a busted bolt, a broken storage bin, broken front body plastics, etc. All things that didn't need to be touched. But he was adamant that we destroyed the bike (and bombarded us with text messages one right after the other for hours on end, even far outside of business hours) so we went back and picked up the bike for free, brought it back to our shop and inspected every single one of his complaints. We replaced the headlight bulb, replaced the entire under seat storage bin as well as the latches, and we DRILLED OUT AND REPLACED the acorn nut that was busted, all for free. We then delivered his bike back to him free of charge and once again, hours after he had taken possession of the bike, he had a whole new set of complaints. This time he insisted that instead of replacing the acorn nut, that we somehow WELDED THE SEAT SHUT (you can't weld to plastic) and again bombarded us with hundreds of text messages, making up lies, harassing us, insulting our business. He called the manufacturer (Kymco) who we had already been in contact with over this customer, including their technician service department who has copies of all of the correspondence between us an the customer, as well as photos and videos of the unit before and after our repairs. At this time, our service manager at our shop got involved in an attempt to come to a resolution once and for all. We picked up the bike for the third time, again free of charge, because the customer insisted that he could not get the seat open and that we MUST have welded it shut, but also somehow was also stuck open as the under seat compartment light was stuck on and draining the battery? Once the unit was brought back to our shop and our technician was able to get the seat open, we discovered the customer had done some of his own "repairs" to the unit that had NOT been present when we had sent the bike back to the customer the previous time, including adding an additional spring to the under seat latch mechanism which was pulling the latch away and making it impossible for it to shut or open properly (see photo). We sent these photos to our contacts at Kymco who after reviewing the entire correspondence with the customer, graciously agreed to help cover some of the parts cost for us so that we are not continuing to lose out over a customer who clearly just wanted to get free work done from the beginning. I have attached a word document showing the complete correspondence between our shop and the customer from beginning to end. On more than one occasion he stated he wanted us to "buy the bike back" from him or pay him what it would cost to replace his 2018 Kymco X-Town 300i with over ****** miles.

Did anyone read the Response of the shop? Untrue and still don't have my bike repaired and returned. If the tech would have removed the belt cover first before removing the body parts, which they confirmed with their own response that the body parts were removed. the bike would have been returned properly repaired.I don't know what to do with this situation.  I've done nothing wrong. The bike needed a belt and the shop removed all body parts to repair the belt.? OMG this is a problem. The Bike was never worked on Mechanically in the six years of ownership, just tires. One stop at that shop the bike is ruined in my eyes.  Seat doesn't close or gas cover as designed. Broke it, thinking it's over needed parts to fix what they have broken. Take a Loss.

No I still dont have the bike. It was returned to me with a Sealed Seat the hood of the bike. The last time I got the bike back the seat opened but wouldnt close all off alignment including the gas cap. They broke a lot of parts under the seat and bin. Imagine they seal the hood of your car. No maintenance can be completed. No I do not have the bike. Weather is getting nice to am missing it
