They performed work I didn’t ask for and then threatened to hold my vehicle until I paid them for these unwanted services. Their staff were extremely rude. My appointment was for 2 hours and the work took nearly 3 hours. They blamed me for not asking to see the work order after I stated at the start of the scheduled appointment what I was requesting.

The customer called our store and told one of our salesman they wanted the 3rd brake light on their camper top on their truck wired. They also mentioned it had moisture in it and asked about replacing it. We got the information on the camper top to be able to get the right part number and the salesman informed the customer that we did not have the part in stock but we did have it on order and could give him a call when the part came in. We received our order of the 3rd brake lights and called the customer to set up an appointment to complete the work.
The customer came in on the day of his appointment and spoke to another salesman and said he was here to get his brake light wired. The other salesman thought nothing of it as what was on the work order was a 3rd brake light as well as labor to wire the brake light. The customer then asked this salesman if we could re-seal his top while he was here, which would add to his appointment time which was for 2 hours, and he was told yes we can do that and was informed it would add more labor and he would need to buy a roll of the tape we use to seal the top. The customer didn’t ask for the price and just said to do it.
The customer then wanted to pay his bill before the work was completed, at that point he then had an issue with the price. It was at this point that he said he did not want to pay that much to re-seal the top, which we charge an hour labor for as that is how long it takes, and he claimed that he did not want a new 3rd brake light, but that he just wanted the one he already had wired, which is confusing to us because he said on the phone that he wanted to replace it because of the moisture issue and asked us to call him when the part came in.
Since he did not want to pay for us to re-seal the top, and said he wanted to do it himself, we did not charge him for this and only charged him for the 3rd brake light, the labor to install the 3rd brake light, and the tape we use to seal the top as he was going to take it home and do it himself. We did this even though we already were in the process of re-sealing the top at his original request, which involves taking the top completely off the truck and then re-installing it. We were already in the process of taking the top off at the time he had the issue with the bill, so the complaint about us taking too long for the scheduled appointment is not valid as the original appointment for 2 hours was scheduled for just the 3rd brake light install, and did not include re-sealing the top. The fact that we had to stop work and then re-install the top at his request after not being okay with the final bill is why it took longer.

I contacted Anchor Sales and Service for the installation of a trailer hitch on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X.
The vehicle had a hitch installed that was not a Jeep OEM product and the location of the hitch was not in the factory location which would not allow the trailer to be mounted to the proper height.
I provided the OEM hitch and electrical connector Anchor expense was only labor.
The estimate I was given was $390 for the removal of the existing hitch, installing the OEM hitch and changing the wiring coupler to the OEM socket.
The final invoice for these services was $ 616.05.

The customer called and spoke to one of our salesman. They let our salesman know that they were not happy with the install of their current hitch on their Jeep Grand Cherokee because it went under the vehicle's bumper and not in the factory location. We explained to him that all aftermarket hitches we could get for that vehicle would also locate the hitch under the bumper. He asked if we could remove the existing hitch, install a factory hitch, and factory wiring if he supplied the parts. We said yes and made an appointment. We took $200 as a deposit to hold the appointment. Our salesman never gave a quote or estimate over the phone as it is our policy to not do that over the phone on work like this because there are too many variables to give an accurate quote. He actually explained this to the customer in detail, saying that we can't give an accurate quote over the phone, especially on customer supplied parts. He said if he bought one of our hitches, we could give an accurate quote, but we could not do that on a customer supplied part. I was also present during this phone call, heard everything our salesman said, and can attest to that. We performed the work with no issues. The customer paid their bill no issues and never said anything about the price he was being charged or had any complaints. He actually was smiling and thanked us after the work was done and paying his bill. This is why him calling back and complaining is so baffling to us. It was not until 5 days later that he called back complaining that he wasn't charged what he was quoted, which is confusing to us because like I said, he was never given a quote and he had no complaints while actually paying his bill. We have had multiple conversations with the customer explaining all this before he left this review.
