DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE. Prodject: 30x20 Workshop turn into In-law Suite (water, drain and electric already established in 2011). Our estimates consistently rose cost. All is based on a computer program, then they have all their sub contractor companies give their quotes). They subcontract all services (framing, plumbing, electrical) Communication is sub-par at best. We started at an estimate of *******, (1brdm 1 bath, add porch and addition 15x15) then it went to 200k to 230k and now just to keep it super basic it turned into 140k no porch. Doing it right the first time is your slogan and from the beginning this was not done right. We started this process back in March 2024 (first call and estimate) then in April we got our first estimate on paper and we were good with the cost. Once we decided to go with this company with a 130k estimate we didn't look for other contractors. I mean 130k was good for what we wanted. We paid ***** to get started on "design phase" . I was even ok with 20k difference but 70k-100k is absolutely ridiculous. Fast forward to July and a new estimate came in at 200k way over budget. It ***** because now we are out ***** and have worthless plans to show for it and have lost 5 months for building. We cannot take these plans anywhere. A new architect will still have to draft a new set with their software. Least the company could do is refund at least half the design fee since it covers services we haven't even used yet.... and now have to go elsewhere. The estimator is still novice in his position, he's a "best guesser". He consistently uses words such as "I think", "I guess", "I believe" are definitely not words to obtain customer confidence. This company has given no confidence to the customer. ************************* (owner) slogan "********************** The World With Positively Changing Lives" definitely not happening here.

We are grateful for the feedback. We are genuine about our commitments to over-communicating and about getting it right the 1st time, and we value learning from our customers. You won't find us defensive in response; rather, the facts are of merit. We provided an initial estimate based on the scope of project. After professional design/engineering was completed with additional enhancements it resulted in higher pricing. It is optimal to get all the details scoped out for accurate estimates. We know how important it is to not incur negative surprises, especially with pricing. In this case, rather significant changes were added to the professional plans such as plumbing, electrical (washer/dryer), a screened-in porch, enlarged bathroom, an enlarged linen closet, doubling the kitchen cabinetry, foundation adjustments, and the like. The transition from an initial idea to a fully realized design requires extreme attention to detail, which leads to a more accurate estimate. We stick to our estimates with customers. I'm glad we were able to resolve these issues before we engaged in a deeper partnership. We aim to finalize all costs before signing a construction contract to avoid surprises later on. Its not always possible to predict every detail until the design phase is complete. This is another reason to value the professional design completion prior to engaging in a comprehensive estimate or contract.Since we were not hired to perform the work, the professional design can be provided to any contractor for estimating and will suffice for permitting. We wish you luck, and apologize for any false perceptions created during this journey.

This company was midrange on estimates for siding. I was so impressed with *********, their rep who comes out to see what the job entailed, I immediately went with this company. Three men came out to install the siding, They were professional, anxious to do the siding anyway I wanted it. I went with shake in the gables and ****** and board on the remainder on three bump outs. I cannot tell you how great this looked. They even pointed out and fixed some mistakes an earlier contractor made.
