  Anabela F*******, artist and art-restoration specialist who owns Brush Strokes did an amazing job of restoring a 75-year old large watercolor original that my wife and I inherited from my parents 10+ years ago. The painting hung in our family room in Iowa when I was growing up and was never protected by glass and suffered from exposure to cigarette smoking in that room over 2 decades or more. She cleaned the painting expertly, re-matted it with comparable textured material, rebuilt and touched-up the original frame and added UV-resistant glass. It is again a beautiful keep-sake we can treasure and pass onto our own grown children when the time comes. This is the second original painting (first one was in oil) she has cleaned and restored for us, brightening our home and lives!

  I was very pleased with ******** restoration of my painting of ****************. I bought the piece over fifty years ago at the ***************** It is an abstract painting using impasto and many colors. It also had some minor damage. After cleaning and repair the colors really shine and she also cleaned the frame and provided new backing. She did the job within the time we agreed and for what I feel was a fair price. I was impressed by her studio and her apparent expertise. I recommend her. **************

  I had the good fortune of finding ******* after searching for an artist to restore a very old (and large) Japanese painting on paper, mounted on fabric. The painting is at least two hundred years old and suffered significant damage from humidity and neglect. After a careful search, I found Anabela. We discussed my painting over the phone, then met at her studio several weeks later. She took time to explain the restoration process, which included both the materials she would use as well as the technique she would employ. I left hopeful that she would be able to restore my piece to at least a better state than what it was in when I brought it to her. In the two months that followed, ******* texted me photos and details of the restoration. She explained what she was doing and solicited my input when needed. I was so appreciative of time she took to share her process. When I met with ******* again, it was to pick up my piece. I could not believe what I saw. The areas that I thought were beyond repair looked as if they had never been damaged. The painting is absolutely stunning. Was the process expensive? Yes, but the outcome was worth every *****. You get what you are willing to pay for. My piece is truly is a work of art. I am so thankful that I found ******* and am grateful for her care and honesty. If you have artwork that needs repair/restoration, look no further than *******. She is a true professional and an incredible talent.

  We have known Anabela for many years and entrusted our most precious artpieces to her to frame, as well as purchased her beautiful original work. She also printed two digital works of art for us with rich, beautiful colors that look like an original oil painting. Most recently, she repaired, restored, and beautifully framed (in archival quality materials to preserve it) a precious 1820's antique print I acquired as a gift for my husband, then tore a piece right in the middle ??. It looks beautiful!
  
  But it isn't just the quality of Anabela's work that makes her stand out; it is the love and care she puts into each piece. She goes above and beyond the expected to deliver beauty for your home, and her integrity is without question. I can't recommend her highly enough!

  Anabela is amazing!
  She restored a very sentimental oil painting I bought with my dad in Paris when I was 15. (60+ years ago)
  The painting was Duarte, had a few very poorly done touch up, plus a large tear in the middle of the painting.
  The frame was in horrible condition, discolored, dirty and had a number of chips.
  She took the canvas off, added a new backer, smoothed it out and then began cleaning it. I received almost daily photos of the process, cleaning, retouching, discovering a dark green background that I thought was all black! And added just a small line of background so that when she restretched the canvas there wasn’t no longer a white gap.
  She cleaned the frame, built up and filled the chips, then painstakingly restored to gilt to a lovely antique gold, that had been long a tarnished brown.
  Remounted the painting and voila! It is beautiful. I will post before and after pics.
  A true artist and professional. I couldn’t give her more than 5 stars, but I can tell you I received 10 stars of professional projectionist service.
  She also showed me and gave me the names of the products she used on cleaning and restoring the frame, so I can do more that just a touch up on some my old gilt frames.
  I really enjoyed working with her so much, I hope we can meet for coffee at Starbucks soon just to catch up.

  I just received my beautiful oil painting from Anabela. My 40th wedding anniversary is coming up and I wanted to have one of my wedding pictures turned into a painting. Anabela asked for pictures and took a picture of my wedding gown. She painted the entire painting from original sketches to the completed painting entirely by hand. She would send me some pictures as she was doing it. She is very professional, and personable.
  I have several other paintings she painted around my house. I just love her work. I highly recommend Anabela, her paintings are beautiful. Donna H
