I have reached out to the owner of the Gym since November 12th to cancel my membership. I have reached out by calling, text message and email. I have attached screenshots. I’m getting laid off from my job and trying to cut all extra expenses. I would like to have my money back for the past 3 months that I have tried to cancel. I have not used the gym membership in over 6 months. I pay $45 a month

I had a problem with my bank mid of May, 2022. This problem canceled my weekly tithe to my church and my monthly, $45 gym membership. I got an email from Queen City Strength may 29, 2022 informing me my payment didn’t go through. They listed the gym owners number and asked for me to come in to update my payment. I texted, called and emailed them for 2 months trying to get in touch with them to update my payment. Since my payment didn’t go through my key to the gym stopped working and there’s a sign on the entrance of the gym telling members not to let people in. Which means I literally couldn’t get into the gym and I couldn’t get in touch with them in any manner. June 19th, 2022 I texted the number asking to make an appointment to come in. July 10th she texting me back telling me she was in the hospital and was just now catching up on emails/texted. She informed me I know owed her $90 for the past 2 months. I respectfully told her I was not going to pay for the past 2 months. due to her neglect I was completely unable to get into the gym and completely unable to get in touch with her for 3 months. I’ve been a member there for 3 years and never missed a payment. She never responded to that text. I assumed it was resolved but August 1, 2022 I received yet another Email that I now owe her $135. I texted her the same day telling her I would return the key but I will no longer be a member of their gym. She responded august 2 and said “that’s not how this works. You signed a contract. I’m happy to schedule a time to provide you with a copy and discuss your concerns”. The same day I said I was available next Thursday at 4pm. I never got a texted back. I have tried calling her 4 times and keep getting hung up on. She’s taking my money and there’s nothing a can do about it.
