I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The company is not responding to the misdiagnosis of the water meter, the valve replacement done from below rather than above or the extra unnecessary shutoff valve. Please address these so we can move forward with resolution.

    Regards,

***** *** eaning equipment because "it took two people, and they sent him by himself". He also never looked at my roof vent. My toilet still bubbles. He replaced the water line valve to the toilet by replacing the line from underneath the house rather than from the bathroom which would have been much faster. He installed a redundant cutoff valve because "water was dumping down on him and he didnt want to run back and forth to the shutoff". All of these things caused extra parts and labor. Also my new spigot wasnt attached to the house. It was attached to an old temporary wooden block that was on the old spigot

I rec'd a bill for four hours of labor and $238 in parts. My invoice had no detail. I paid the bill and emailed the business for the detail. This was when I realized the extent of what he had actually done. A lot of unnecessary parts & labor.

Company now ignoring me and my offers of compromise

At this point, I would like my bill adjusted to just one hour of labor and the spigot parts.

I have reviewed all of the correspondence concerning this complaint and have already responded to Mrs. *** via email.  I will copy my original response again in this forum that I emailed Mrs. *** on August 22nd.  Our position has not changed on this matter:"We have discussed the job with our master plumber that we
sent to your house and have reviewed your emails. The water meter is City property and we are not authorized
to work on their property.  We knew when we left that there was likely a
problem with the meter and that is why we recommended you call the City. You had numerous leaks throughout the house that we
fixed.  The piping we used is the piping that is standard today.
Your home has within it Quest and CPVC pipe randomly.  (The Quest pipe has
not been available for close to 25 years because of recalls due to pipe
failure.)  We could not go back to the same piping even if you wanted us
to.It is our recommendation that you replace the commode to
alleviate the issue you have with the toilet.  The toilet is calcified up
and is no longer capable of flushing correctly. In response to your question concerning our billing
practices.  We have always had markups on materials installed.  This
is standard industry practice.  The labor rates were quoted to you on the
    phone.  We charged accordingly."

Our service tech was working in her crawl space and he had to instal the replacement valve to turn off the water so he could work. The shut off valve was necessary for our tech to be able to do his work without having to run back and fourth, which saved Ms. *** money in the long run.
