      BB&D packed our household goods for moving on two dates, 3/29/2023 and 3/30/2023. I would like to note that the crew and crew leader were friendly and did a very good job. My dispute is with the amount we were billed for packing materials. The crew leader produced an itemized list of materials used along with costs, taxes and total on both days and both he and I signed these documents (these are a part of the Moving Order and Contract). The total cost of materials we signed for on 3/29/2023 was $1910.49 and the amount for 3/30/2023 was $665.15 for a grand total $2575.64.However, when BB&D billed us the packing material charges were for $2078.24 for 3/29 and $780.00 for 3/30, a total of $2,858.24 which is an overcharge of $282.60. I've attempted to resolve this with ********* over email unsuccessfully. ********* sent me an operations department report of materials used and it doesn't reconcile correctly with what I signed for and frankly appears less accurate. My best guess is that we're being double charged for some bubble wrap material as both *****-Bubble (doesn't appear on the signed inventory even as a potential line item) and "bubble wrap roll".Regardless of the reasons for the discrepancy, it is unjustifiable to have both parties sign a contract document with specific charges noted and then charge a different amount. I ask the BB&D refund us the overcharge of $282.60 as soon as possible.

      As I informed you on Monday April 17, 2023, at 2:08 PM by email. Please find below the answer to your concerns: 

      1. Moving companies work under an estimate of cost for a service, which can be modified by the actual cost during the development of the actual service. I have asked the accounting department to send me the details of the materials used during the move, to the ones charged in the paperwork's.

      In this special case, we find out that the crew leader forgot to charge some materials. We have employees who are human, who can get confused and can make mistakes during a service, especially for a long job with so many hours like yours. We at BB&D Moving Services differ from the rest of the companies, by making sure to charge according to what we used during a job, using crossing systems, and technology, in which not only the team leader is in charge of seeing and counting the amounts of materials used in a job, but our managers at BB&D warehouse facility do it as well as soon as the vehicle come back into our shop. Please see the report attached. 

      The final difference in the price of the material collected is for an amount of $282.60, which represents a 9% increase from the total cost of the packaging service. 

      As I mentioned on the email send it on April 17, there are two rolls of Bubble-Wrap that were used and not charged, we decided not to charge them for an act of good faith. We never over charged our customers, especially if we have so many ways to cross information and get to confirm the correct amounts of materials used in a service.

      Issues about moving from Falls Church to Monrovia CA - charged me additional shuttle fee without formally telling me the price and threaten me if I don't pay, they are not going to delivery my items - claimed i packed liquid with my winter coat and that is why the box was wet (they rent a ****** to delivery my items not their company moving truck) -missing my dvd player, but them claim they never packed one asking for reasonable refund

      Dear Customer, 

      Please find below the history of your relocation services that will clearly answer your questions and concerns:

      1.The moving quote was provided it on January 16th, 2023, and your moving quote on page number 10, paragraph 4, clearly expresses that if there is any type of inconvenience with the availability of parking our commercial vehicles right in front of the origin and destination property, we would have to use the shuttle method of transportation to proceed with our services. In this case, the city of Monrovia, CA. did not authorize BB&D Moving Services to park a 65 Ft' Tractor Trailer right in front of your property or nearby, reason for us to proceed with the shuttle service, renting a smaller commercial vehicle in the city to Monrovia, CA, to bring your Household Goods from our commercial vehicle to the final destination. This is something very common in long-distance relocation services (cross country move), services that are carried in large vehicles. Unfortunately, several cities in different states of our country do not allow large vehicles on their streets.

      2. According to our Terms and Conditions of your contract and our policy; customer must pay the balance in full, at the time of our arrival to the final destination, and before proceeding with the delivery service. We requested the payment according to our Terms and Conditions as you can corroborate it in the proposal presented by our company on January 16, 2023.

      3. According to our moving contract, we are not responsible for Packing by the Owner Cartons (PBO). Your coat and the ceramic cup was packed by you, and before our crew arrived at the origin property in Falls Church to proceed with the loading services. If your coat was wet, it must be because you packed liquids in the boxes, things that are totally prohibited by the Department of Transportation for moving companies. Based on our contract and the documentation provided you during our In-Home estimate, you should not have packed liquids of any kind in the cartons. 

      4. Regards the DVD player, please find attached our BB&D Inventory Sheets with your signature in all of them indicating the receipt in full of all your property. As I repeat once again, we never pack a DVD for you.
