      Today I had my first and last appointment at Beach Eye Care. My concerns about this practice started as soon as I walked up to the front desk. The office staff was unaware that Beach Eye Care sent me an email giving me access to a patient app. I had entered my information and assumed they would’ve received it since they were the ones who asked me for it. The woman who did some of my eye tests was very pleasant. When I saw the doctor he spoke ungodly fast and I was very confused. He told me that nothing was wrong with my eyes. He also said I would have no problems driving after having my eyes dilated. So I got in my car and I noticed in the mirror that my pupils were two different sizes. I ran back inside and the front desk staff brushed me off and offered me a disposable pair of sunglasses. Distraught and frantic I went back to the car. I then noticed I could not see clearly out of my right eye. Even at a distance it was blurry. I called their number and told them what was happening.. they then stated “well we don’t mind if you wait in the parking lot for the dilation to wear off” I hung up and immediately started sobbing. I was so afraid because this never happened when I had gotten my eyes dilated. To sum it up, I would not recommend going to this practice. The staff who answer the phone and greet you when you come in are dismissive. Please choose another practice.

      I recently got eye care insurance through my wife's company, so I was expecting to have insurance cover a significant portion of my care cost. Unfortunately, the cost of my eye care - including eye exam, projected cost of glasses, projected cost of contacts - exceeded the cost of my ***** ****** exam from two years ago. Needless to say, I went back to ***** ****** and - just as I would expected - the cost for everything was substantially lower as result of insurance coverage.
      Then just to add on, I received a bill through the mail saying I owe a *** ****y even though I had already paid *** at the Dr visit.
      I think this company takes advantage of insurance coverage and just raises their prices for those with insurance.
