    The roofing company repaired / replace a roof on fire damage. Saying the fire damage is structurally sound just not pretty. The complaint is about the warranty of work on existing fire damage.

    Hello, Mr ***** purchased a roof  from us on April 6th 2023. The roof was installed on April 21st and passed all of our pre (and post) inspections. While the structural components underneath the roof are clearly not covered in our contract, we inspected the wood underneath the roof and it seems to be structurally sound also. 


    Because of a previous house fire (before our arrival) there is some discoloration and charring on some boards.These are cosmetic concerns and have nothing to do with the roof nor its soundness
    In reference to the warranty. Mr ***** will receive the exact same Lifetime warranty that all of our other customers receive. This warranty is backed by us and the manufacturer of the shingles. The warranty  is written on his contract and a certificate from the warranty will be delivered to him soon from the manufacturer.


    It appears the homeowner may have wanted us to replace the roof AND repair additional cosmetic damages caused by the previous fire but unfortunately that was not our agreement. The contract will be attached. Thank you

    I am rejecting this response because:
    “Seems” is hardly a professional sounding response when the roof over your head has been built on fire damage. If your so confident in seems then the seller would be more then confident in advertising this roof.
