COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO ABANDONE YOUR CLIENTS. Lumos has 5mbps DSL going to 32 homes on a dead end 1/2 mile road. All utilities are underground for safety from the trees (which eliminates weather related maintenance costs). We have been ignored for any sort of broadband upgrades for the past 3 years I have been trying. At one point they looked like they were going to do something, and then poof, gone. They are now offering FiberOptic Internet to their NEW clients (or, easy to access clients) for $50 dollars a month and continue to charge $58 for their ancient DSL. The homes on our lane have paid collectively more the $160,000 for DSL in the 8.5 years we've lived here. Yet we get the "we cant because of the cost" line. They can, they're just too cheap. They are too cheap to take care of their existing customers and we feel abandonded. If you can, avoid Lumos with all your might. Had I known it was going to be like this with no upgrades, ever, I wouldnt have purchased a home here.

Internet works great. TV service works sometimes and technical support keeps telling me they are working on the problem but still no TV which I am paying to receive from Lumos Networks. This is not a one time problem, it happens whenever the weather is bad and I supposedly have fiber service but the only fiber is the connection to the house. All wiring in the enclosed crawl space is Ethernet cable. The service and help from this company deserves no stars, but that is not an option. No one works to fix problems after 6 p.m. and with this being a holiday weekend I anticipate my problem will not be fixed before Tuesday, if at all. I am researching other internet and TV providers in my area since I don’t think Lumos is doing anything to resolve my lack of TV service. I pay $40 more per month than I did when I lived on Long Island, NY where I had the same number of channels, same internet speed and a home phone. In order to receive a credit for lost service. I have to call customer service, this should be an automatic credit once a problem is reported.
