    I retained Kamco Services as a monitored home security system provider for several years. I had no option but to terminate our service arrangement after months of trying to resolve a botched service call. I had requested a technician to assess my three-year-old system and discuss upgrade options. The cost was **** for the Kamco technician to make digital control panel adjustments and relocate a sensor. As a result, he left us with a security system that no longer operated in the "away" function. When I tried to contact Kamco to seek a resolution, but my calls were never returned. This went on for several months until I reached out to the administrative staff via email. I explained my technical issue and when it occurred, in addition to the unresponsiveness. Kamco executive management offered to support with another service call - at my expense - unless it could be demonstrated that their previous service call caused the system failure. The Kamco technical staff caused a problem, technical management ignored the problem (for several months), and executive management chose to apply mindless protocol instead of taking responsibility.

    We at Kamco Services strive to provide responsive service to the needs of our customers and are sorry that we have been unable to resolve this to Mr. ********** satisfaction. We acknowledge we failed to provide our normal rapid response in this situation. Our investigation of this complaint discovered that part of the reason for this failure is due to the customer repeatedly calling an employee's cell phone directly thus defeating a number of business practices we have in place to prevent such a failure.

    The original service call was to address an issue with a motion detector and that issue was resolved during the service call, which also included a system inspection. Shortly after the service call a seemingly unrelated "false alarm" occurred from a door contact while the homeowner was out of town. We scheduled a service call to address this latest issue and despite confirmation 12 hours prior, no one was home when our technician arrived. This was a 120 mile round trip for which we did not charge Mr. ******** We offered to schedule another service call with the caveat that if the problem was determined to be unrelated to our previous service it would be billable. That was unacceptable to Mr. ******* and further efforts to resolve this complaint proved fruitless.
