    I was quoted $250-$300 for a bearing replacement and when I asked for it in writing I was told it was the end of the day and not to worry. I dropped my 2012 Buick Enclave off the following morning and was told that I would receive a call upon completion of the work. I waited until 4:15pm and never heard anything so I began calling the shop and leaving messages to no avail. Without my vehicle I ended up walking there and arriving at 4:55pm on Friday afternoon. I was informed that there were no issues completing the work, however the bill was nearly 300% higher than I was quoted due to the bearing assembly costing almost $500 (for an aftermarket part), 2 hours of labor was broken out at $150 and although the bearing was aftermarket and readily available for $160, I was told by the owner that his son was mistaken and that the bill was just short of $700. In speaking with 3 local parts stores I was able to find the exact same bearing assembly for $160-$185. I also received a quote from VIP Tires and Service for $280 for the same work and the exact same part as both shops use the same supplier. I feel fleeced and called Nichols, but they wont call me back
