    Paid a$350 deposit for a side of pork on 25 March 2024 which I was supposed to get in the late fall or winter of last year. Received NO updates for the entire time until December when **** **** delivered my beef order and made some odd statement about the pork being ready (he hoped) in ************ a voice mail on 2 Feb 25 that he had a freezer issue and the pork was lost (I found out later this was a lie). And did I want to use my deposit for this years beef order. I called back and left a message saying that no, I had already ordered beef elsewhere and wanted a refund. I also texted him (we had usually texted) and said the same thing and to please let me know he got the message. I heard nothing. I left another voice message maybe two weeks later and another 4 texts over the next few weeks. No response. My last text clearly stated I needed to hear back from or I would be taking further steps. Nothing. I got an email from his Vermont Natural Beef mailing list yesterday announcing orders for this year opening 1 April and thus really annoyed me. His ******** page DID have several complaints of customers who have paid deposits but not gotten their pork OR beef, yesterday, but those comments were removed by this evening and only one positive comment remained in that thread. Oddly, my complaint, which was in a newer thread I posted yesterday, is still there this minute and I just took a screenshot of it. I want my deposit back. I can provide a screenshot of that in case it has been removed. I have also filed a claim on line with the Vermont Attorney General on Saturday Thank you

    I have not heard meaningfully from the business in response to my complaint. I recieved a generic Happy Spring message about ordering beef for this fall because everyone else did on their mailing list. I replied to this email saying;

    "****,
    Please return my deposit for the Pork side which you were unable to deliver. I have not heard a single response to my requests for a refund and would rather not have to elevate this further. 
    Good customer service includes responding to requests, phone calls and texts in a timely manner. 
    Regards
    **** ******"

    Two days later I received an email response:

    "Good Evening ****, 
    We are working through all the requests as fast as we can and will contact you soon regarding refunds and credits. 
    Thank you, 
    **** ****"

    Since then, I have heard nothing. Ten days tells me they have A LOT of requests for refunds....I do not want a credit since they are no longer offering pork which is what I put my deposit down for. Their web site never said anything about not refunding deposits for their own errors. 

    Also, they have removed ALL of the recent posts on their ******** page and left up old pages from the original owner *** ********. They have stopped allowing any comments and removed those asking for refunds or with angry emojis.

     

    Thank you for your attention to this matter. It is a shame they have ruined ***** decades of excellent service to his community.

    On May 18 2024 I placed a $670.00 deposit on a side of Pork and Beef . 1/2 of a pig to be delivered in November 2024. The beef was delivered in November but the pork was delayed. Then we were told probably before February. In February we starting to try to contact him but no answer. He then texted a vague message asking if I wanted a refund. That was February 14. Still no refund, no answers, no meat. Nothing. Sent a certified letter never went through.

    We purchased beef and port from VT Natural Beef. **** **** purchased VT Natural Beef from *** ******** within 12 months. A deposit for the beef and pork in the amount of ******* was paid by check on 3/28/24 to ****. We received our beef but not the pork. Pork was to be delivered in December of 2024, balance to be paid at time of delivery. We made numerous calls and texts to **** inquiring about the delivery date but received no response. We learned we are not the only people having this issue. At this point we want our money back. We had to purchase pork elsewhere. The deposit for pork that we want back was for $950.00.

    Have purchased beef for the past several years and have had great service and received what we paid for. Business was sold, new owner is not providing what we paid for. $300. deposit for pork, $300.00 deposit for beef (these are farm raised). It has been almost a year and well over 6 months since we should have received our order. Have called multiple times, emailed, texted, and tried reaching via ********* If he has done this to all of the existing customers that is of hundreds of thousands of dollars he has taken. This company was very reputable under the ownership of *** Standard, I do not know the name of the new owner.
