I inquired about the business equipment leasing. I applied. **** was the person who contacted me. Told me I was initially approved for 40k in equipment leasing. She asked for invoices from all 3 companies I was working with on the equipment. 1. *** enclosures, 2. Custom Contruction and 3. City wide AVL. I had all companies provide the invoices like they asked. **** then offered to see if she can get me approved for more money. I said sure, see if we can do ****** and that'll cover all my expenses for all the equipment I need. She said its approved for ******.00. All companies sent the invoices. Custom construction originally had asked to be wired. They sent out a check for 8900 that took a week to get to him. City wide AVL asked for ****** for the enclosures and then *** enclosures was 6700 which they paid ******* on. They debited my account for $4580.00 as the security deposit. First debit was bounced back because my bank thought it was fraud. I took care of it with the bank and had North Star leasing re-debit my account on Wednesday which they did and took the money and it posted. Now, all of a sudden they are cancelling the 20k check that was sent to city wide avl, the check that was sent to custom construction and not paying the difference of the *** enclosures invoice. Their excuse was because I used to own CITY WIDE AVL and because my contractor installed the *** systems, which he did. who cares? and who cares if I used to own CITY WIDE AVL? I still need money for my enclosures for my pet stores I just bought. HORRIBLE experience. I want my deal funded like they had promised me that I was approved for. If they had an issue with this, all this should have been checked out PRIOR to sending checks and sending money for the enclosures and contractor work that was done.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/24/2024

      ***************:

We canceled our contract with ******************** under our default paragraph in the agreement that he signed.  Section (F) of that paragraph states "Any representation or warranty made by Borrower herein or otherwise furnished Lender in connection with this Agreement shall prove at any time to have been untrue or misleading in any material respect"

Here is a copy of the response we went to ********************

"During application and underwriting, it, North Star Leasing understood that Citywide Avl LLC was a third party organization, independent of World Wide Fishes and Pets LLC  and a vendor of bona fide animal enclosures and other items used in a pet store. We have since found that among other things, you personally are a managing member of Citywide Avl LLC and this entity is related to ********** Productions and may or may not be in the business of selling items for use in pet stores. Additionally, the person who signed the Vendor Master Prefund Agreement for this entity does not match the name of the owners as registered with the Connecticut Secretary of State. As a result of this and other inconsistencies in the application, we have canceled the transaction due to the Event of Default.

The initial payment of $4,580 was received by North Star Leasing. North Star Leasing paid $3,337.50 to **** ***************** **** North Star Leasing has returned the difference of $1,242.50 to the bank account from which the initial payment was made."

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

***************, is accusing me of owning the company the equipment was coming from but his findings are false. If he actually looked at the CT Secretary of State he wouldnt find my name as a member or managing member because I do not own the company. I sold it to off a while ago. Hes just assuming. No factual evidence. ******** says, the owner of the companys name didnt match the contract name. The owner of City Wide AVL is *******************, whos typing out on the DocuSign she had a typo and put ***************** instead of *******************. Wow, she missed the * big deal. Im guessing hes never had a typo before or misspelled a name by accident before? All poor excuses to not continue business. They cancelled the check to my contractor who already installed the flooring, POS systems with the retail counter and the dehumidifiers and left me with a lawsuit with the contractor because Northstar leasing check bounced due to NSF according to his bank. And the check for 19k to CITYWIDE AVL who was selling me the animal enclosures bounced due to NSF. Also, left them with no choice but to pick up the enclosures and leave me with nothing. NorthStar leasing has been very unprofessional the way they handled this matter. They finance towards used equipment from individual people all the time but because I USED to be part owners of the company where my enclosures were coming from for my new pet store I purchased in March I cant get funding? How does that make any sense? It doesnt! North Star leasing has a habit of doing this to their customers based off their ****** reviews. Horrible business people
