  The week of September 26, 2022, Walker Roofing BADLY damaged my home. Hired to remove the old roof and install a standing seam metal roof. The crew showed up at 10 am (late), did not put tarps up and did not remove the gutters. Instead they ripped off the old shingles causing the (2 year old) seamless gutters to be ripped right off the house, destroyed the fascia boards, scraped down the cedar clapboards, scratched a dozen + windows, bent the frame of one new window. They installed the wrong ice and rain shield (discovered by the new contractor I had to hire). The one they used was not rated for the heat produced by metal roofs and is melting off the plywood currently. They threw metal and nails all over the yard and driveway. It started to rain later that week and into October and water was pouring into my house in 4 places. I spoke with *****************, owner 4 times. He never came to see the damage even when I told him to and he became downright aggressive on the phone telling me repeatedly what a great company he had - delusional and dangerous. He sent two other workers down twice and after the second time the then I ended up with leaks in 5 places - much worse! I sent him a cease and desist email and asked for a refund of the $20,000 deposit I had paid Walker for them to start the job plus the cost of all the damages. - All told this equals over $41,000 including the deposit. Walker has paid nothing back. I saved for 8 years to pay up front for this roof and now have to take a second mortgage to hire a skilled contractor to correct all the damage. I had to go through the winter with water pouring into my house and no gutters AND 6 SHARP PIECES OF METAL (7 FT LONG EA.) WITH NAILS IN THEM FLYING OFF IN THE SNOW STORMS . ***************** is an aggressive, reckless man who doesn't give a **** about his customers. Online I discovered he has run several companies into bankruptcy. Don't touch this company with a 10 foot pole. I pray those reading this avoid my fate.

  I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I would like to add one thing on the complaint - ********************* employees (Walker Roofing) badly damaged my house and *** NEVER came on site. He did not care to look at what had happened. He continually told me his employees were great and the damage couldn't be that bad but he never responded to my requests to come to the house and see what had occurred. He told me he was too busy building a ****** square foot in ******** for a Doctor. I was almost killed this winter by the snow slamming off the ice and rain shield and pieces of metal (the few that they had put onto the roof) crashing down. These are razor sharp, 8 foot to 20 foot long pieces of heavy steel cladding. I had to clear the snow with a motorcycle helmet on.

  Let's be honest as to why we stopped working at this house. We tried to work with you and make things right but after you repeatedly punched the outside of your house right next to one of our workers head all while screaming and kicking ** off of your property, we decided that it was best not to return.

  Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. I demand a full refund of all monies paid to Walker Roofing plus the documented damages and replacement costs of all the windows they damaged in a total of $41,000.

  I did not kick the crew off of my property. I asked them to stop damaging my house. They continued to rip my house up and scratch my windows badly.  I yelled at them to stop. By that time the smell of marijuana smoke was in the air. I was in shock. Several of the crew were smoking around the house! That is what you can expect from Walker Roofing!

  See the photo of the East side of the house where they bent the frame of a brand new Pella window. They hit it so hard that the metal window was wrenched right out of the wall of the front of my house! I had to go through the winter with air and water leaking into my kitchen.

  I sent the cease and desist email over a month after the first day of work at my house where the damage took place when it became clear that ***************** was taking no responsibility for the damage he caused. 

  Walker sent several workers over to attempt to plug the leaks in the roof on 2 occasions AFTER the original damage to my house was done during the installation.

  Also Walker had workers show up unannounced, at random and apply pieces of metal to roof when I was not home (the majority of which blew off the roof this winter causing more damage and endangering me. I am investigating what legal action I can possibly take - civil suit - against ***************** for endangering me).

  ***************** was not present for any of the work at my house.

  ***************** has never come to my house to see what actually took place, and now is making it out as if I am the cause of $41,000 of damage and what amounts to a defacto THEFT of my money. 

  I can document EVERYTHING with texts from *** where he says he is sending a person over on several dates. Always telling me to calm down as if I was the one at fault here. This is madness. 

  I reiterate - DO NOT WORK with ***************** or Walker Roofing. They are incompetent and dangerous.

  I have run my own manufacturing business for over 30 years. I know what it takes to run a business and Walker Roofing did the complete opposite to me and my home.
