We hired Notch Group Real Estate to re-side our house. ***** *******, one of the co-owners of the company, came out to bid the job three times in total, and quoted us what we believed to be a fair contract with an estimated time of completion within 8-10 working days. Right from the start, **** *******, the operating partner in ****, showed up with a negative attitude toward myself and my husband, blaming us for poor construction decisions that were made before we owned the house. By Day 11, only two sides of the house were completed. **** proceeded to cut the main power to our house using an oscillating tool - a reckless and careless mistake - and instead of halting work and shutting down power until their electrician could come assess the damage, **** and his partner proceeded to run their tools which we later learned from their electrician was a very dangerous and risky move. The very next day, **** accidentally put a nail through his hand and a staple through his finger, resulting in him needing immediate medical attention. The following day, **** showed up unable to use his injured hand, and proceeded to cut the internet cable and leave for an early lunch. I work full-time from home, thus internet in the middle of the day is very important to me and my job. I wound up having to call our internet provider and fortunately they were able to come repair the damage within a couple hours. Following the internet cable incident during Week 3 of the project, **** and his partner finished the third side of the house and removed the old siding from the back, then did not show back up for work. The next week (Week 4) was Thanksgiving with snow and sub-zero temperatures and we still hadn't heard from ***** or **** when the remaining backside of the house would be completed. Finally, ***** sub-contracted the remaining work to his electricians who finished the job in Weeks 5-6.We strongly discourage anyone from using **** for any construction needs.
