    On 9/4/24, ********* sent me an email saying an attached bill for service on 7/18/23 was "way overdue". That was the first interaction we had with ********* about the service/bill since the day of service (7/18/23). When I made the appointment in July 2023, I was quoted $150.00 per hour and I wrote it on our calendar. I agree with his description of the work done on the invoice. He took a little under an hour to do the work. When he was done, we couldn't figure out why he was in his vehicle for so long. As of 9/4/24, ********* claims we owe them for 90 min. of work because GPS showed him at our property for 90 min. even though at least ********************************************************************** removing the minerals from our slow toilet and sink for the invoice. On 7/18/23, when I asked who to make the check out to (because I prefer to pay immediately), the plumber gave me his name. That concerned me, so I asked him to have the office mail send me a bill. When I asked what the amount would be, he handed me a scrap of paper with $284.20 on it. When I asked why the amount was so high compared to what I was quoted, the plumber told me it was for the toilet cleaner. That seemed ridiculous. So, we waited for a bill, but never received one. ********* claims they have been sending me monthly bills via email, but I never received any. Neither the statement nor the invoice sent on 9/4/24 was itemized. It did not even state how long the plumber worked or what the hourly rate was. At the time, I considered contacting the office directly, but the way the plumber asked for a check made out to him and the way the price was so much higher than the quote made me wonder if the plumber was nervous about being caught. Given how some people unfortunately seek out revenge in a situation like that, I decided to let him decide how to report the bill. As I said, we never heard back.
