      On 10-27-2024 I stopped at the gas pumps owned by Rowley Fuels, I purchased $54.17 of gas, hurriedly left but saw that my gas gauge had not moved. My vehicle is 8 years old, it didn't surprise me to think my gauge was no longer working. I then drove approx 10 miles remained there until 5:30 ( at this time it was dark) I continued about 10 more miles and my car simply stopped running, I had no steering but pulled off as best I could. I called a friend who was a mechanic. He arrived after 45 of waiting in the dark alone. Because I had purchased gas that morning we knew I hadn't run out of gas so it must be that my fuel pump died. He gave me a ride home, I called the nearest Tow truck to have my vehicle towed to his garage. $150.00. Because it was a Sunday I had to wait 3 days only to find I had run out of gas because the pump at Rowley Fuels wasn't working properly, I had the charge on my card of the $54.17. I called their off ice that evening, Oct. 30 left a message for someone to call me the next day. I did not get a call FROM them I called them back. I explained what happened and was told they would send check for the $54.17 right away. I explained that I felt them to be responsible for my towing charge and missing 3 days of work. after speaking with a manager then the sole owner I was told it was not their responsibility and she could not authorize that. Knowing full well she was the top person in the company I asked who would be, her reply was no one could. I then said what you actually mean to say is that you won't authorize payment? she replied that is correct.I have not heard anything from them. I have been a long standing customer, over 40 years.i am asking for the cost of towing and 3 days of work missed, total $780.00
