On November 17, 2023 I purchased an Epson F **** printer from this business. She advertised it on ******** marketplace as only a year old and in perfect working condition. When we arrived, expecting, they would demonstrate the machine working and possibly do a bill of sale. They already had it bubble, wrapped and ready to go out the door and rushed the sale. Because it was a reputable business so we thought we trusted them. The printer was brought back to our residence to come to find that the printer does not print the quality that it should and we have had nothing but issues with the printer, we contacted her and she had just asked us to give her more time and more time to find out about her warranty. She finally sent her employees down to operate the machine however, it still did not print quality as it should but they told me that that was how it is supposed to be despite research information proving that to be untrue. Since they left, the printer will not print color at all anymore and only white and we are not sure what is wrong with it. From the beginning, we told her wed like to bring it back and get our money back right away before more time past what she represented she was selling was not what this printer was and the printer is in need of maintenance but she did not disclose.

    Business Response

First of all I would like to address that fact that. this is not a customer of **********************. I placed a piece of equipment for sale on ******** marketplace in which ****** indicated she had researched and wanted. We came to an agreed amount of $8000. She was coming from out of state to pick it up so I asked my staff to pre wrap it as if we were shipping it like I would with any sale. No request were made that we do a demo or leave it unwrapped. We used this machine every day in our shop up to the sale of the printer. I was then notified that she was having trouble with image quality and wanted to return it. I had said I would reach out to my rep that I bought it from in case they had any suggestions. I decided to offer (which I did not need to do) to send two of my staff members who operated the machine daily - to her place in *************, to go through the working of the printer and show her that indeed it does work. They did do so and her husband even said  it looked like it was their error. My employees left with what they felt was a successful showing of the machines functionality. About three days, my staff and I start getting texts that are threatening in nature and swearing and insisting we take the machine back. I feel we went above and beyond to show her we sold her a functioning printer and she needs to be accountable to learn the ins and outs of it (just like we had to). To take it back not knowing how it was handled in her care, how much ware it received etc.. is foolish and is not how online marketplace works. I stopped responding directly to ***************** as her aggressive nature was becoming unsettling to myself and my staff. We have never had a complaint in the 30 years we have been in business. I have saved all of the text messages as well if needed. Thank you.
