I hired Juggernaut Construction to build a garage and renovate my newly purchased home in *******. Im from **** so took the advice of my realtor, thinking she would know a good contractor. I was quoted $120,000 & 6 weeks to complete the job. Was told to pay half up front and the remainder at the completion of the project. I paid $61,000 up front ( $1,000 over ). After Juggernaut worked on my property for two months *** ******* ( majority owner) came to my home demanding $50,000 more or else we are walking off the job. As it was late in the season and I knew finding replacement contractors would be difficult, I gave them the $50,000 I was told was for your tub and materials( which I never received). About 3 weeks after giving them more money, they walked off the job leaving me with an unfinished garage, which I have been living in since my home was unfinished and even less livable than the garage ( which had no doors and crushed stone floor). I am a 57 year old female living alone on a class 4 road) who has never been to ** before. Juggernaut left me with no running water, heat source, bathroom. My home had a leaking roof and was missing over half of its cladding. My solar guy , **** ****** , owner of *********************** came the day after Juggernaut left. He and the 2 dozen contractors he has brought to my home to help finish it before winter, all agree less than $50,000 of work was completed. . Of that work I have had to pay people to redo everything single thing Juggernaut did because the work was so shoddy. **** and I have been trying to get Juggernaut to refund at least the $50,000 they demanded, knowing full well they intended to quit . After much effort they refunded $34,000 but are refusing to refund the remaining $16,000. In truth they owe me at least $27,000 but I was willing to be generous to resolve the situation peacefully. As they are unwilling to refund the money they stole from me, now I am filing grievances where ever possible.
