Purchased a vehicle and the loan came through this bank. When Ive attempted to pay again and again the payment would go through and then be returned. This happened three times. When I called they told me they didnt know why and we tried a payment from a different account through a different bank that I have. I made a large three payment payment to catch up. Again it went through and was returned. I worked with them via email and phone conversations to get it worked out but they told me to set up auto payments again. When I tried they locked my account and told me my car was in repossession. I asked they remove that and they told me I needed to make a payment. When I explained everything keeps being returned they looked at the account and admitted the funds keep being retuned and they dont know why. They asked me to try auto payments again. When I went to login to my account it was locked and they told me its because they moved it to repossession. They got my insurance packet from the dealership before I could leave with the vehicle then claimed they didnt have it. I also had the title sent to me by another bank. This is a smart vehicle I went through income based incentives mileage smart federal and state grants to help with this so the amount owed and payment would be low. Help me please! I believe they are scamming for the grant ******Business Response

Re: BBB complaint #********* Hope ******
To whom it may concern,
We are writing to provide an update regarding *********************** situation concerning her Closed End Voucher and Security Agreement with One Credit Union for the purchase of a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt, last five VIN numbers *****, dated 05/01/24.
Since the agreement, we have received only one ACH payment on 05/25/2024 in the amount of $337.90. Unfortunately, all subsequent payments have been rejected due to insufficient funds or attempts on a non-transactional account. Our collections department has made numerous efforts to assist Ms. ****** in resolving this matter, including attempting to set up direct charges to her debit card and checking account, as well as offering in-person payment options at our branch offices. Despite these efforts, no further payments have been received.
Our primary goal is to support our members and help them succeed financially. Repossession and force-placed insurance are measures we take only as a last resort. On October 11th, we received confirmation that the auto insurance policy provided by Ms. ****** was cancelled on July 1st, forcing us to add *************************** to the loan. Our discussions with Ms. ****** to remedy both the loan delinquency and the lack of insurance continued with no success. Consequently, due to the ongoing lack of action from Ms. ******* we have been left with no choice but to initiate the repossession process and pursue legal fees to resolve this situation.
We urge Ms. ****** to take immediate steps to bring her loan current and prevent further consequences. We remain committed to working with her to find a resolution that benefits both her and One Credit Union.
If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Collections Department One Credit UnionInitial Complaint

The customers vehicle was lawfully repossessed due to nonpayment and transported to a holding facility. The customer redeemed the vehicle by paying current (not forward), including collection fees, and was provided the proper release and instructions. One Credit Union is investigating the claim of damages to the vehicle and find that (1) the repossession agent worked with the customer on claims of damage to the vehicle and the customer was provided photos/videos documenting that there was no damage, (2) the transport company verified by photos that there was no damage to the vehicle, and (3) the holding facility verified via photo/video that the vehicle remained undamaged at the time it was signed over and released to the customer. The damages provided by the customer to the repossession agent in photos were not present at the time of repossession and were not present at the time the vehicle was transported away by the customer. Please note that we have requested copies of the photos and videos from all parties involved today. All parties have acknowledged that if damage was caused to vehicle in their possession, which unfortunately can happen, they cover the damages and have insurance coverage for such events. In this case, each party has documentation showing the vehicle remained undamaged while in their possession. Once these photos and videos are received, these will be provided to the customer.
Thank you!
