    Stay away. Far away. Our tub/shower faucet was malfunctioning and Call The Whale charged $2,050 to remedy the situation. Yes, it is now fixed. However, the part required to complete the repair cost $150.00 and the time required to complete the repair was less than 2 hours of time. When we asked for clarification on the amount charged, they said their system was somewhat intuative but that the rule of thumb is to estimate 1/2 towards material and the other 1/2 towards labor and overhead. When we asked again for an intemized invoice, they simply refused.Note: I consulted with my business partner, who also happens to own and operate a significant plumbing and heating company and he told me that the repair required and completed is "a $400 job, tops".These folks, Call The Whale LLC (Plumbing and Heating) should be avoided.

    We understand your frustration with our pricing not being
    itemized in the traditional breakdown of labor and materials. However, our
    pricing reflects more than just those factors—it also covers extensive
    technician training, fully stocked service vehicles, 24/7 availability, and
    other operational costs that enable us to deliver reliable, high-quality
    service and support.

    We take pride in our transparency, providing upfront pricing
    before any work begins. In this case, the estimate was thoroughly reviewed,
    signed, and approved by the Homeowner (your daughter) prior to us proceeding.
    Additionally, we made every effort to accommodate a next-day repair request,
    even rescheduling other customers with heating issues to prioritize your
    daughter as a valued returning customer.  She also expressed to our team how pleased she
    was with the quality and timely completion of the work.


    In response to your pricing concerns after the work was
    completed, we issued a $0 invoice to your daughter as a gesture of goodwill.
    It’s disappointing to see this review despite our efforts to resolve the
    matter. We have been trying to reach you to discuss this further and truly hope
    to connect soon to address your concerns. Thank you.
