I have a outback inverter system radian 8048a. It was sent to *********** 3 years ago and is under 5 year warranty. For a month now a fan power board has been burnt out and the entire solar system can't be used because I can not get a hold of anyone from this company to help. $8000 spent on this inverter system and can use. The entire solar system is $30,000. And for a month it all sits cause outback has no customer service now. On its website to open a claim, the link is a 404 error. So don't even work. When you call it's all old answer machines and they never return calls. I hope you can help. Thank youInitial Complaint

On 5-31-2024 I purchased a new OutBack Power FM80-150VDC Continuous MPPT Charge Controller from an authorized seller ************************. I received the item on 6-1-2024 I registered it with Outback Power and the following week installed it and it worked fine. Outback Power warrantees this unit for 5 years from date of purchase. 6 weeks later the unit failed and I tried to contact Outback Power via phone ************ An answering machine says l"eave your message and we will return your call". It's over 3 weeks and I'm still waiting for a callback or reply. In the meantime I've also filed an RMA with Outback Power to have it repaired/replaced. Again I have heard nothing from the company.I'm looking to either have the unit repaired or replaced.Since I have not heard back from Outback Power **** I've tried contacting the controlling company ********* and parent company *********** where I either can't find a phone number or no response.I don't think ************************ should be responsible as they delivered what I purchased. It should be Outback Power to repair/replace the unit.Thank You,***** ******Initial Complaint

I am working to resolve a warranty claim with Outback Power for a faulty power controller in our home solar installation. The claim was filed in early March and I have not been able to get resolution. I am unable to contact customer service via their listed phone or email. I would like resolution to the warranty claim and the faulty equipment replaced.Customer Answer

Seeking contact from company to resolve warranty-related situations, 2 different customers experiencing product failures. Multiple voice messages left with sales department over several weeks, calls to support department do not allow messages to be left, simply request that you confirm the number you're calling from is the number that should be called back, but if you don't hear back on the same business day call again the next business day. I have done this 2x daily for 5 consecutive business days with zero return calls. No email address furnished on company website, just a link that does not work. I have very frustrated and disappointed customers for whom we are responsible to create a resolution to their problems.Initial Complaint

Ive been a customer for around 3 years. In the beginning support staff was relatively informative and courteous. Recently they have started screening their calls under the guise of high call volume. In regard to my Charge controller I recently started having problems where it woukd say charged instead of floating. This causes problems because it stops charging after it says charged and can run the battery down instead of maintaining the float voltage. I I looked it up on the internet and found that many people were having the same problem with no resolution listed. I called support and was told to check what absorb end amps was abd verified they were zero. I was also told that resetting the charger would get rid of the charged notification. When I pointed out this was a temporary fix and wouldnt prevent it from happening again she became angry , rude and sarcastic. When I asked what the next step was she started trying to talk over me and interrupt me. She then hung up As you cant talk to them directly without them screening their calls I had to keep calling and leaving my number. She kept calling back to clear her queue and hanging up before I could answer My product is under warranty and not functioning properly and it needs to be addressed. This is by far the worst experience Ive had ever with any company. I hope this person does not represent the values of Outback power but as long as she is employed there I wouldnt be able to deal with them .I also have proof that the agent was purposely calling and hanging up. And here is one link describing the problem ************************************************************************************Initial Complaint

Outback Power Technology makes solar inverters. One product they make is the Skybox, a solar inverter with a warranty of 10 years. In 2021 I decided to install a photovoltaic system at my house.I bought the Skybox and started to use it without any inconvenience. This year I added batteries to the system. To my surprise, The skybox didn't behave as it should. I called tech support and spoke to *****, suggesting an update to the firmware. However, my skybox wasnt using the internet, and I couldn't update it right away.I kept using the skybox turning the batteries on and off through a breaker. some night as I was going to flip the breaker on, it blew up. I called Tech Support again and spoke to ***** who assured me I was going to get a new breaker, which never arrived.Looking for solution to the update i spoke to a person from Outback *********************** I was able to download the update to an SD card.. I followed the instructions sent to me by *** and proceeded to do the update without the internet; the system stopped working! It went into limbo. The display for the skybox has what you might call tiles, and if they are working, they are colored yellow or green. However, the display turned grey and the skybox, although I could interact with it, stopped working. Once again, I called tech support. ***** informed me that I was to receive a new skybox and someone from Outback would contact me to walk me through the replacement process. days passed, and no contact from them. I called Outback and was told that the Skybox was behaving as such due to a lightning strike. lightning strikes are an Act of God, and the warranty does not cover that. I have tried to contact them repeatedly, but I get no answer from them.I have sent evidence that a lightning strike was not possible because I could interact with the skybox at all levels. It has been over two months. I believe that this could be resolved with their help, but they do not want to answer my emails or answer my phone calls.
