    04-17-2025 On 04-14-2025 I took my vehicle in to A street automotive. I had very clear conversations with ******, their service advisor. We had multiple telephone conversations to which I clearly asked $480 included labor and materials. To which, ****** confirmed. 2 days later; I went to pick up my car and they charged me $********. I was never once quoted over the phone this amount. There were multiple services that I clearly stated TO NOT do. They went ahead and did them anyways. I never signed ANY digital or physical estimate or authorization for this work. After speaking with the owner, they claim to not have recorded lines, while the service advisor stated they do. This is my only vehicle/ work vehicle. This is a HUGE issue as it impacts my work and my family as a whole. They will not give me my vehicle and will be charging me $165 every day until I can pay them the entirety of ******** plus however many days of $165.00 of storage it will take to pay this amount for services I declined in the first place. A copy of the estimate that was given with zero signature/ authorization will be attached.

    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to *** ******** concerns and take his dissatisfaction seriously.

    Before any work was performed, we provided *** ******* with a written estimate totaling $4,824.57. This written estimate, dated and itemized, was shared in advance and was included in his own complaint. It clearly outlines the scope and cost of the services requested. In addition to the written estimate, our service advisor reviewed the repairs and total amount over the phone with *** ******** who verbally approved the work. Verbal authorization is a standard and accepted practice in this industry.

    We believe this complaint misrepresents the facts and appears to be an attempt to avoid payment for authorized and completed work. *** ******** own complaint confirms that he received the written estimate prior to any of the work being completed. The nature and volume of the repairs requested were substantial, and no reputable auto repair facility could complete such work for $480. While *** ******* claims that he declined certain services, the completed work aligns with the authorized estimate and the approval that was given.

    To assist *** ******** and despite no obligation to do so, A Street Automotive waived accrued storage fees and assisted in arranging a payment plan to facilitate the release of the vehicle. These steps were taken in good faith, with the goal of reaching a resolution that supports *** ******** situation.
