    I had my truck sold after repossession to this company, I did not know until I contacted the bank I had a loan through that is was sold. Nobody is getting back to me and i somehow have a bill for 16k after a truck I owed 12.9k on was sold for 14k it doesn't make sense

    **** Forest is handling my case and she is an absolute nightmare to talk to! Im trying to come to an agreement with her but she doesnt want to hear it, will hang up on me, yell and belittle me.

    October 31, 2024                    Response to BBB Review                    FAI:  J294650

    Financial Assistance, **** (***) is a collection agency contracted by ****************** (*****) to collect past due accounts.  The accounts that SCU places with *** for collection are assigned, not sold to FAI.  All accounts remain the property of SCU.

    The subject of this complaint is a loan for an in-ground pool with an unpaid principal balance of $69,035.34 with pending interest of ******* accruing interest at a rate of 6.99%.  This loan was assigned for recovery purposes on June 27, 2024, and was credit reported on or about September 16, 2024,as is FAIs normal course of business.

    In this complaint, the consumer is dissatisfied with the negative tone of the *** collection representative assigned to her file.  She further takes issue with the reference to litigation.

    *** has reviewed all calls associated with this account.  FAI sent our initial Notice of Assignment letter to the address contained in this complaint at the time of loading.  *** made initial telephonic attempts to discuss this debt with the consumer on June 28, 2024 and July 2, 2024.  The *** collectors first contact with this consumer was on July 25, 2024 at 11:52 AM.  The *** representative conveyed the past due status the account and that she had begun the process of initiating legal action including securing the executed supporting contract from *** and approval from *** to take legal action.  In that conversation the consumer stated that she would be making a $1000.00 payment on July 29, 2024 and asked the *** representative to call back to secure that payment.

    On July 29, 2024, the *** representative called as directed at 11:56 AM and again at 1:06 PM reaching the consumer in the second attempt.  The consumer stated that she would call *** back in an hour so that she could confirm banking information for accuracy in the meantime.  No call was received.

    On September 11, 2024, the *** representative and the consumer connected, and the consumer stated that she doesnt have any money.

    On September 23, 2024, the consumer contacted the *** representative to state that she would have funds on October 25, 2024, and that she would make a payment.  The *** representative contacted the consumer on October 25, 2024, and was told by the consumer that she would have funds on November 1, 2024.  To date, despite numerous promises to pay, no payment has been made.

    *** believes that they are acting in accordance with the account agreement and governing laws and regulations.  *** invites this consumer to contact our office during Pacific business hours *************) to discuss this matter.

    They a very persistent when attempting to reach you. I send them reason to deny charge, I dont hear from them again but they keep my case open anyway.
