      WARNING BRIDES! DO NOT BRING YOUR WEDDING GOWN HERE!Bakkers advertises that they know how to care for wedding gowns and clean and box them up. They DESTROYED my custom wedding gown and tried to blame it on the designer, saying she should have told me not to have it dry cleaned. They took zero professional accountability for knowing what they can and cannot care for in their dry cleaning process. When you ask them about pricing for cleaning a wedding gown, they say that it depends on the beading and sequins and rhinestones etc because those things add complexity. But they make you sign a waiver when you leave your dress saying that they dont recommend cleaning anything with beading or sequins or rhinestones. When I took my dress in, I opened the bag and showed 2 employees the beading and rhinestones on the bust of my dress and told them that area was my concern. They both smiled and assured me that they would take care of it and it would be fine, and then told me to sign the waiver so they could take it on. My dress was absolutely mishandlednot only were the beading and rhinestones ripped apart but they didnt even use the hanging loops inside the dress to support it on the hanger, further stretching out and ruining the tulle on the top of my dress. This isnt a simple snag that undid the beading. The rhinestones are crushed and shattered. When I picked up my dress and asked about them fixing it, the employee shrugged at me and with no concern or apology said you signed a waiver. I got the same response, just in a more polite voice, from the manager. If I had gotten any indication from them that dry cleaning was a bad idea for my dress, I would NOT have left my CUSTOM WEDDING GOWN with them.
