    I entrusted them with my perfectly functioning Breitling Aerospace for a simple watch battery replacement as the battery was nearing the end of its life. The staff assured me it this wouldn't be a problem and would be ready in a few days.However, I received a call today informing me that while the battery had been replaced, the *** displays on my watch had "malfunctioned" and "glitched." Upon inspection, I discovered that the ***s were not just malfunctioningthey were cracked. This type of damage is well-documented to occur when a watchmaker uses a battery with the incorrect thickness but correct diameter or improperly reassembles the case. It is clear that one or both of these occurred. The watchmaker refused to come down to speak to me or open the case to see what battery he installed.Despite this clear mishandling, the staff at Porcello refused to accept any responsibility. They claimed "it just happens" & blamed it on supposed defects, neither of which is accurate. Watches just don't "just break" like this. This kind of damage occurs due to improper care, which is unacceptable from a professional establishment and something I'd expect them to take responsibility for.I trusted Porcello with a valuable, multi-thousand dollar watch for what they described as a "simple job." Not only did they botch the task, but they are now refusing to rectify their mistake. They pointed to their policies (highlighted by them in the attached picture) as justification for their refusal to take responsibility but they say no such thing - read them yourselves. Their liability is up to the value of the item.I gave Porcello a functioning ************ gave be back a broken one. Now I am facing a $1k+ repair bill from Breitling.When a business damages an item entrusted to them, they should take responsibility and make it right. Porcellos refusal to do so goes against basic moral & professional standards.I'd like help making this right with Porcello paying the cost to repair

    We have spoken with the customer and are resolving the issue.  While we cannot confirm what caused the issue with the screen to occur, we will be paying the Breitling Factory to repair the *** screen as a courtesy to the customer.
