This client had multiple revisions to the scope of work before the work was even started.  We **** up a contract according to the final revision agreed to by the client and scheduled the work as soon as a down payment was initiated.  The job was done in a timely manner as per the contract, with the exception of a door which had to be ordered, which the client was aware of.  During the work, the client spoke to our employees and praised them for their quality of work.  When she started to ask them to do items that were not on the contract, which had been removed from the scope of work during negotiations, our staff kindly informed her that those items were not on the contract and they would need authorization from their supervisor to proceed.  The client insisted that this was not extra work, but work that was in the contract, which was false.  As the estimator who negotiated the job was out of town the client was advised that it would have to wait until he returned.  Also during this time, we were advised from the credit card processing company that the down payment was being held on investigation of fraud and we were to submit documentations to validate the transaction.  When the client was informed of this and notified that we would not do any further work until the investigation on the payment was resolved and we received those funds, the client then began sending multiple angry, accusatory emails and text messages threatening to post negative reviews on our business publicly.  We turned all documentation over to our attorney and he has advised us to cease communication with the client and to bill for the work that was done.  The accusations are false and unfounded, the work was done according to the contract which she signed.
