First and foremost, we recommend that you do not open an account with this bank! They have the worst customer service and when you think they are trying to provide optimal customer service, it's only to steal more of your money! We filed a complaint with the BBB about this institution and do you think we accomplished anything with them....NO. They drafted up a letter claiming they are in the right and we are in the wrong! After, providing proof of a false signature on one of their documents and one unsigned document but yet, apparently I agreed to "Priviledge Pay".Secondly, the BBB is here to protect the consumer do you think that the BBB did anything to assist us in resolving the issue?...NO.They have enabled this organization to continue doing what they do...Steal customer's money! The response from the ******************** in their email was - "You have read the response from WECU, the case is closed"File all you want! The final outcome is that these two organizations work together. We are out $4,600 because of them! Obviously, there is an issue with WECU with all these complaints and they all turn a blind eye stating the customer is WRONG.Where do we complain about the BBB? And, it's lack of resolution skills and ignorance for the consumer!

A few years ago my mother and I brought *** docs to WECU so that I could assist in her affairs as she aged. Last spring, my mother fell and was hospitalized. I went to WECU to make sure I had ****** to her account in order to make sure bills were paid while she recovered. At that time, I was informed that they had no record of the **** I was then informed I would have to make an appointment to bring in the *** again. In meeting with the representative, I was notified that since I had filed a Chapt 13 bankruptcy many years ago and a WECU credit card was discharged, WECU would not grant ****** although bankruptcy was satisfied. When I asked about the ***, they informed me the documents made no difference, but I could call Accounts **************** I left a message and received no response back. Since I was able to ****** my mother's account via online, I dropped the issue realizing WECU lost the *** and would not deal with me. My mother recently passed away a month ago. I was setting up probate, but in attempting to pay a bill discovered WECU had restricted the account when SS notified the bank. WECU never attempted to contact me or my brother. This was done without our knowledge on 2/5/24. WECU has ONE person only who handles death of members and she was on vacation/out of office for several days. NO ONE would effectively communicate my mother's account was closed and bills were receiving NSFs due closure. At least 2 additional calls to the Accounts *************** were unreturned until I called and spoke with ************************************* on 2/20 The letter from *******, the person who closed the account 2/5, mailed a notice on 2/14/24 by the post stamp date. This whole experience has been handled poorly and without compassion. By the end of the week, I was finally able to obtain Letters of Testamentary to close the account and ****** funds to handle the estate. I would not recommend doing business with WECU ever. I would give 0 stars if it were an option.

I wanted to see if I would qualify for an RV loan I am a travel nurse I called to discuss the loan application prior to applying to see what I would need to do to qualify the person on the phone was named Hunter and he was rather rude initially stating that I just needed to apply and that they would counter offer. I have never made a large purchase of this caliber and wanted to I need to invest in a nice Rv because of my job The application got denied because I had not ever had a large loan before and I called to complain about the customer service and they hung up on me. Very disappointed is customer service

Almost since I opened my account at WECU in December 2021, the employees had a tendency to ask me questions even if the answer was evident if the time was taken to think about it. It also shows to me that the person is in a position to demand answers from me, setting up the hierarchy immediately. If I asked a question it would be answered with a question. I think, "Are they hiding something?" There's a short, overweight, blond woman, by the name of ********************* who would often take over when there was a misunderstanding. She had total disregard for my point of view. One morning I came in to pick up some Thai Bahts. They were not there I was told in spite of what I was led to believe. Later I called from home at noon and was informed that they had arrived. I returned to the Credit Union and was told once more that they were not there and that I should come back. This upset me which brought over *********************. No apology was forthcoming. ***** told me that the Bahts had just arrived which was a lie, because it was 2 PM and they had been there for at least two hours. All the while she was incessantly asking me questions. On another occasion I asked the teller for 2 hundred dollars in ******** dollars. She misunderstood as usual and said that I would be paying 160 ******** dollars for my ******** dollars. I repeated my initial request which she said was different than what I said before. I said that it wasn't so which brought over ***** who told me to stop abusing her employees, not to mention all the abuse I had been subjected to through their inability to understand. She then said, "Leave my building." Finally I had made an appointment to see a Notary Public at WECU. I arrived but the appointment did not - "It's not in the database." I asked, " Are all of you crooked? All the things that you've screwed up. I want to know if you're crooked." For me, their silence was consent enough that they are crooked. I have since taken my money out of this credit union.
