We felt like Penor LLC (GM and PM duo) A) misrepresented their ability to do quality work B) had diff performing basic project management duties. This resulted in a project that far exceeded its est. timeline (**** weeks estimated vs 1 year). During demo, ***** found mold in the remodel area. ***** suggested to replace all siding through their sub (estimated cost of $70k) & to seek legal avenues to get damages from the homes builder and/or siding manufacturer. This cost roughly a month before we decided to instead have a mold remediation company treat the areas. After the fact we felt a more reasonable approach would have been to suggest remediation up front. Early in 2022, ***** informed us that the ** would be taking full time job, causing him to only be available to work part time several hours a night, several nights a week (with some exceptions) & some weekend days. Quality issues emerged throughout. The shower tile work was done poorly by the first tile sub and attempted fixes by that sub were not satisfactory. Immediately after we observed these issues, we brought it to the attention of *****. ***** took two months to bring in a second sub to redo work. Main quality issues observed at the end: multiple drywall ************** edges are not straight/visibly crooked and poor repair of damaged tile. Other issues during this project leading to delays include but not limited to: inaccurate measurement of vanity, loss of bathroom fixture, painting room the wrong color, general poor oversight of subs. Multiple times subs showed up unannounced after specifically asking in writing to give us advanced notice. Inspectors showed up at the house to inspect work that had yet to be scheduled by the *** There were positives such as them covering additional cost of ********** was friendly. If we had known the end result of this project was going to be what we got after taking this long, we would have chosen a diff PM and ** who took more accountability for their product
