  I first hired this company 11/2021 to remove some trees that a neighbor had complained to us about. We had just purchased the house the prior month. Once the initial trees were done we hired this company to take out all the remaining trees, excavate our backyard, remove debris, gravel the side of the house and to build a fence along the backside of our property. Most jobs we put a 50% deposit down to get us on his schedule and paid the remainder when they finished the job. The gravel was done on the same day we asked about it so we paid in full on the same day. All total we spent over $60,000 from November 2021 through February 28th 2022 when we made a deposit of $8400 for the wood for another side of the yard to be fenced. We had asked about fencing the rest of our yard after the back side was done but told **** who I think is the owner that we couldnt afford the rest and wed have to wait till the next year. Several days later he stopped by our home, which was not unusual because he had done that on numerous other occasions to check on the work being done. He told us that his lumber guy said prices were shooting up again and that we should at least purchase the lumber and hed hold it for us until we were ready for the fence. We agreed for him to send us a lumber quote. The quote was for over ******. We called the office and told them that we just couldnt come up with that much. I said Id just put half down for one side of our yard. With credit card fee Dreamscapes tree service had me put down $8400. It was verbally agreed upon that hed get me on his schedule for ***** June 1st I call the office to see what scheduling was looking like and there was no answer. I thought maybe I had the wrong number so looked it up and thats when I saw the business was closed. So he took my money and closed his business. Looking back at the way he was pressuring me for that last deposit, I really feel he knew he was folding his business.

  We received a letter in the mail about the complaint from *********************. We called and emailed her multiple times and left messages upon which she did not return. ********************* was running our tree service at ********************** and then decided he was not going to anymore and stole client records, money, equipment etc from the business. Once we got that information back after the judge ordered he return it we reached out to her to see what was left on the project and see if we could complete it or would need to refund it. She finally returned one of our calls but not until she decided to file a complaint to the BBB. She was refunded her deposit for the fence project. I hope this considers this closed and not a negative **** for the BBB.
