I have never been treated so horribly by a business owner. Not only did she accuse me of lying about my HOA requirements she called me "Sweetie" on the call. So disrespectful and outright unprofessional. I had nothing but constant problems with the work from the third party vendor she contracted out to do the work at my home. The estimate for siding of 1 wall and replacement of 4 windows was $30,000. This quickly ballooned over time as they found issues that needed to be addressed. When the crew found dry rot in my wall, Energy Exteriors was quick to provide an additional cost estimate to repair. However the crew they had on hand, was SEVERELY unequipped and unexperienced on the appropriate ways to repair it adequately. They took existing insulation from the wall and tore it up into pieces and placed that into an area that required new insulation (which was outlined as a requirement in the estimate) This left the wall, which contained plumbing, severely underrated and under minimum code. They then closed up the wall and had to reopen it to do properly which left large holes in and damage on the house wrap. Then **** ********, the Vice President of Sales came to my home to inspect, when he opened the window in our living room, it fell out 1 inch. He tried to cover it up and said it didn't move, but when I approached and pushed on the window it ****** was not installed correctly. A worker from outside quickly ran up and put a s**** in the top corner of the nail fin to properly secure the already set window. The interior caulking was completely sub-par and now needs to be redone by a professional. Energy Exteriors also removed and destroyed the my property. During the replacement of the chimney cap, they did not properly measure to accommodate for the existing chimney shroud, so instead of leaving the shroud they destroyed and removed it from my property. Absolute nightmare, and now still have to have a completely new chimney cap and shroud.

We are disappointed to hear that the customer feels this way, as we have worked diligently to complete this project in accordance with our contract and industry standards. Construction can be an unpredictable process, especially when unforeseen issues like dry rot are uncovered during demolition. These conditions are not always visible during the initial estimate and are addressed as they arise a common and necessary practice in home renovation.
Upon discovery of dry rot behind the siding, we immediately paused work and provided a formal change order for the customers review and approval before proceeding. All repairs were completed and inspected for quality and compliance. While the customer was initially concerned about the insulation, our team reopened the area to address those concerns and reinstalled the insulation properly. The area was then sealed again and documented. We stand by the corrective action we took and the final outcome.
The issue with the window in the living room was promptly reviewed by our Vice President, who confirmed the installation was structurally sound. As a precaution, a final securing s**** was added at the nail fin, which is a standard practice to ensure long-term performance and to ease the customer's concerns. Regarding the interior caulking, we offered to return and address any cosmetic details, but that offer was declined.
The matter of the chimney cap and shroud is unfortunate and stems from a misunderstanding. The customer did not obtain prior approval from her HOA for this alteration, which was clearly communicated during the proposal phase. We provided photos of the proposed cap solution not once, but twice, and received approval from the customer before moving forward. At no point was destruction of property intended the shroud was not compatible with the new cap and had to be removed as part of the install process, which again was authorized in advance.
Our goal has always been to deliver a quality exterior remodel and to be transparent and communicative throughout. While we understand construction can be stressful, we do not condone the misrepresentation of our intentions or the professionalism of our team. We respectfully disagree with many of the characterizations made by the customer, but we consider this matter closed, as all work has been completed and documented per the agreed-upon scope.
