    Worldkids Burien location has overcharged parents tuition on multiple occasions in 2024. Families were impacted 2-4 times between June 2024 and December 2024. The School never communicated these overpayments to parents and continues to not communicate these errors to parents even though they have been asked. Parents are discovering these duplicate payments when reviewing their 2024 tuition tax statements. The school has also charged families increased tuition for 2025 a month earlier than they should. The school has a fiduciary duty to be transparent with the families around these overpayments. In lieu of reimbursing the parents, they are only putting the accounts on hold until billing period are caught up. Some families are trying to collect their money from the school because they have left.I want the school to communicate to all existing families and families that left the school in 2024 about this billing issue.

    To Whom It May Concern,
    WorldKids School bills one month in advance, which is standard practice within our industry. In cases where billing errors occur, we always make it a priority to offer either a credit or a refund as part of our commitment to excellent customer service.

    In this case, we were not initially aware that the client was expecting a refund. However, once it came to our attention, we made it a priority to offer her a refund the very next morning and placed her on an individual payment plan for future billing.

    Please see the attached response from the client, in which she declines the refund and requests to keep the account on hold. Also attached are our tuition policy and the last page of our parent handbook, signed by the client. While mistakes can happen as we are all human our goal is always to resolve them promptly and professionally.

    As for other clients, we are not aware of anyone currently waiting for a refund. Additionally, we are unable to share any information regarding other clients, as we are committed to maintaining confidentiality and respecting their privacy.
