On 11/21/24 I had a procedure and was billed for it on 12/04/24 for $357.00.I paid in full by **** credit card on 12/17/2024.On 01/08/25 received another bill for the same 11/21/24 procedure for $357.00. Not realizing that it was exactly the same procedure for I had already made payment, I paid again for the full amount using the same **** card on 01/16/25. Realizing my error, I called **** to see if the transaction could be voided and they told me I now had to deal directly with the ** Eye Surgeons.I have attempted that on numerous occasions first on 01/17/2025 @ 3:10 PM speaking to *****. and again on 03/05/2025 @ 9:40AM speaking to ***** and again on 03/05/2025 speaking to *****. Each time stating that this was clearly double billing for the same procedure and since I had paid it the first time I should be entitled to a refund for the second payment. She keeps telling me she has to discuss it with someone else. She has had months to do that. I have been more than patient enough. Since this is related to a medical issue and seems clear enough I feel I have been fraudulently billed.

I was charged for a visit to 'Northwest Eye Surgeons', I discovered, when setting up my online account a year later, that the amount they charged me had been paid in full by my insurance company, so in fact, they overcharged me. 'Northwest Eye Surgeons' showed a credit on their books for me for over a year without informing me of that credit or refunding the overcharged money they took.On discovering this, I requested a check , beginning two months ago for the amount they owe to me.. Each tome they confirm the money is due me and each time no check arrives. In fact, they say that they cannot tell me when a check will be issued. I have begun to doubt they have any intention of issuing any check for the amount they owe me, after so many requests in writing and by phone, since the refund is never ************, after calling before an appointment and then speaking again to someone in billing, the billing person suggested I apply the credit due me to my upcoming visit. This makes no sense, since I am covered for payment of this upcoming visit by my insurance, so why would I want to pay out of pocket for coverage I already have elsewhere ? This absurd suggestion by billing and continued non-payment of the overcharge prompted me to fill this complaint with BBB.I want my money back and am tired of getting jerked around in this unprofessional manner by 'Northwest Eye Surgeons' billing department. Please help.

complaint #********. Pardon, but I do not see where to enter this information on the complaint I filled with you earlier, so am sending it here: Yesterday, I finally received a check from 'Northwest Eye Surgeons' - the company which owed me money I asked help from BBB to receive. While I very much appreciate your efforts on my behalf, I finally went to the physical location and spoke to someone there who was able to resolve this issue for me, over a year later. I want to thank you for your help with this matter. Apparently I am not the only one experience this issue with 'Northwest Eye Surgeons',

I am frustrated that you closed this issue as "satisfactorily resolved"

      1. The business NEVER responded to you.

      2. The check they wrote to me for $45 BOUNCED.

I am requesting that you reopen this absurd case. These are professionals who seem unable to return money LEGALLY DUE patients. I cannot believe that I might have to take them to SMALL CLAIMS COURT for $45.-, when they make MILLIONS in fees.

Isn't anyone legally bound to anything these days???

      VERY FRUSTRATED, OBVIOUSLY!

Please reinstate this case. it is NOT resolved.

Please know that afetr receiving a check from 'Northwest Eye Surgeons' which was later removed from my account by ****, I requested and received another check which was deposited several weeks ago. It appears that check was "good", so I will ask you to please close this complaint and thank you for your help with this matter.

I would like to file a complaint against ********************************************************** On 7/12/22 I went to **** to get surgery for cataracts. ****** met with me & told me that if I didnt pay for the Level 1 lenses which were $2,550 per eye (vs $0 for ******** lenses) I would wear glasses for the rest of my life. At the time I only needed readers for very fine print, she really scared **** paid the money. The right eye now needs readers. The left eye she put the wrong lens in. Then I went through months of healing until it healed enough to do a very difficult & painful surgery to change it. That lens still had me not being able to read even large print on my iPad & all my sight was blurry in the left eye. On 4/11/23 (it takes months to get appointments) my left eye was still blurry. I saw ************ said there was a procedure that could help fix it. She did the procedure & told me to come back in 3 weeks, but I couldn't get in until 6/23/23. 6/15/23 I had my annual eye appointment with my regular doctor. He was not impressed with what had been done to ****** left with reading and distance prescriptions. 6/23/23 appointment I met with ***************************. He noted the last procedure ****** did made my left eye worse, including double-vision. He felt bad & told me that all they could do was to give me monetary ***************** would be my advocate. I never heard from him again. When no one from NWES contacted me I sent them a compensation letter. I ask for $12,816.98 which included what I paid for the Level 1 lens, glasses I had purchased, $3K for future ************* for pain, suffering and loss of eyesight. I also requested my records. It took them quite a while to respond. They finally offered $7,500, but I would have to sign 4 pgs of legal papers, see uploaded pgs. It took several weeks to get my records. I want others know that this business is not good & dont stand by their work or word. I would like my money back with no conditions.

I received several bills from this office which were required to be paid on line. This wasnt a problem until one of the bills that Id submitted did not appear to go through. I reprocessed and again it did not appear to go through. I called their billing department and apparently both payment did go through. It has now been 5 months and I cannot get my $581 overpayment back from this company. I have called various times with the same end, they can see where my account has a credit but it will take them some time to process the check. Again I called today and they cannot or have not processed my refund.
