I bought front seats for my 2006 Expedition. I came in to buy their seats for my 2006 Expedition. They knew this upon my arrival, the year, make, and model of my vehicle. When I arrived they confirmed this information and then took me to check out the seats, they were not in the vehicle but in a separate part of the building so I did not see what vehicle they came out of. I told them I had a 2006 Expedition and these were the seats they brought me to. They asked me if they looked right. Now the seats were mislabeled as EXPEDI ANY and 2016 seats look almost identical to 2006 seats, the only difference is there is one extra wire on the wiring harness of like 30+ wires. They clearly knew I had a 2006 Expedition for which I was looking for a few parts. They knew that the seats were from a 2016 Expedition and would not fit, they misled me to the wrong seats, mislabeled the seats, and they never informed me of the full details of the seats. The receipt, the same as the sales tag, shows no year on the description line. It reads EXPEDI ANYIn good faith I called, either return them or trade them for the correct seats. I could drive them back and either exchange them for correct seats or return them. They said that they do not do returns on seats. I told them how the seats were mislabeled and I had bought them thinking they were for my vehicle and how they were almost identical, they said Buyer Beware. When I asked why they did not tell me they were the wrong year knowing I was shopping for my 2006 Expedition, and why they had not informed me that they were the wrong seats for my vehicle they said I did not know why you were buying the wrong seats, thats not our job. When I said I just wanted to return then since it had only been one business day, they said they would not accept returns for any reason and I was just trying to scam them. It was very deceptive business practice here and I wish they could have just resolved it like a good business would.

    Business Response

On 6/21/23 ************* called to inquire about a pair of 2014 **** Expedition tan Leather Bucket Seats we had listed on ********** and if they were still available? When told they were available, he said he would be up the next day to pick up the seats and complete the transaction. When he purchased the seats we were not aware of what he was installing them in.

All the information about the seats was in the Craiglist ad:

"Pair of Light brown/tan leather front bucket seats removed from a 2014 **** Expedition. These seats are loaded, both seats have power directional, power seatbacks, power lumbar, have airbags, are heated and cooled, and the driver's seat has memory. Removed from an Expedition with only 70K miles, the leather is strong and the foam is firm."

As you can see all the info was in the ad that ************* saw on Craiglist. He never once asked if these would interchange with his vehicle,he got that information somewhere else, possibly elsewhere on the internet? He's did a chargeback on his **************** , my account was debited on 9/22/23. All this stuff about how we supposedly misled, mislabled and were deceptive is completely false. Attached is a copy of the original ad. Maybe this will refresh ***************** memory. As stated on the invoices all seats are sold AS IS, NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.

I am rejecting this response because:
As you can see from the original receipt there was no specific information on what year the seats were pulled, as I have attached. The seats at the yard were labeled similarly which is the issue. They absolutely knew what vehicle I was going to put these seats into because I was also looking for other parts while I was there for the same truck, specifically a steering wheel, they took me through the yard but I didn't get that part. Al's Truck Parts  has hundreds of ads up on ********** regularly so they can pull any ad to say whatever, as can be seen easily on the original receipt there is no year listed in the details. I was prepared and would still drive and return the seats which are in exactly the same condition trying to resolve this issue in good faith. I attempted to do this literally the next day when they did not fit, If they were a good business they would have simply taken the seats back and I would not have had to take further action. They at no point acted in good faith and called me a scammer, saying things like "buyer beware" and "its not my job to make sure you get the right seat" and "I didn't know or care why you were buying the wrong seats". Terrible customer service and just bad *************************** experience. I still do not know how trying to return a product the next day that was mislabeled could be a scam? Bad business and bad management. Please help people avoid having to deal with this type of business. Truly as they said "Buyer Beware" at Al's Truck Repair.

    Sincerely,
