  I hired ****'s Backyard Product,LLC to replace and paint some trim and stain my window seals around my home. I was referred by *********** I met with ************ from ****'s Backyard Product at ********** so he could pick out all he needed to do the work in my home and l paid for it, He told me he could do the job in 3 days. He asked if I could pay him half the pay on the 1st day. I was going to write him a check but he insisted on cash because he had a truck payment. I gave him the cash. The 2nd day he asked for the 2nd half of his pay because he had some bills he needed to cover after coming back from vacation. I told him that the job is not finished. He said he really needed it so I gave him more cash. He was a very sloppy worker. He did not use masking tape (he had me buy 6 rolls) until I told him he needed to use some He got stains on my walls and wooden floor. He didn't properly clean off the wood surface prior to staining. He put stains on a rough surface. There wasn't any proper ventilation and a few of my family members were affected by the smell. He had to use my vac to get up the saw dust. This guy was not prepared to do the job. I called him on the 13th that evening and I told him that when he comes back he needs to bring his own shop vac and the rest of the supplies including the sander I bought from *********** He was to come to finish the master bedroom and the laundry room. He did not show up the next day. I called him and told him he still needs to finish the job and bring back all the supplies, lumber and sander that I purchased from ********** which is worth $400 total. He said okay, okay. Haven't heard from him after several calls and leaving messages. He is a thief and he also owes me $400 for not completing my master bedroom and laundry room.It should not be easy for Contractors to get their licences and bonds reinstated after being dishonest and cheating consumers.
