This business will not stop calling me multiple times per day from robo-dialer numbers. They occasionally come from offshore calling services and hang up immediately when I ask where they got my number. I was able to have a conversation with an onshore person once, but the info they gave me over the phone does not match their website. It's possible that they are being scammed by someone else, but I'm going to have to change my number soon because they won't stop calling me.

When they gave us the bid for a new asphalt driveway, they justified the cost by telling us how far they had to dig down, how much fill was needed and the proper amount of asphalt. We did an internet search on what the specs were for doing an asphalt driveway, and the specs matched with what they told us. The work done was not even close to what they said or what was required. After 2 months, the material was so inferior, we already have weeds growing through the asphalt. It is so porous you cannot sweep leaves off the surface. They also damaged some of our property that we have had to fix. When the weeds starting coming through the surface, we decided we wanted them to come fix their inferior workmanship and material before we started having other problems. We have made multiple phone calls. They finally said they would send a crew to fix but no one ever showed up. Again, we made phone calls but are waiting for a response.

Tell us why here...************** has been told on several occasions that the area in the asphalt will be fix. Our manager was there again last week and there is one small crack were a weed is coming up through. His phone calls never go unanswered and we call him to give him updates.  When the job was completed, I spoke to ****** and he stated that there was debris on a few of his potted plants, I offered to replace them and he turned me down.  As stated whenever we call out or someone calls in, all our calls are are recorded for Quality Assurance.  Please see attached pictures.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is true that the manager (*****) was here last week;however, that is the only statement that is true.  He told us he could tell by the pictures that it was not dug down the 7 that it should have been dug.  He told us that he would recommend completely tearing out and replacing the asphalt and rock. My conversations with the office also told me they were trying to get a contractor out to fix but have been unable to do so.  They offered me $1,000 to make the problem go away; but that does not come close to what it would cost to fix.
The attached picture shows the following:
#1 Shows they used asphalt grindings instead of crushed rock.  It also shows the depth that was dug which was not close to what was needed for both the fill and the asphalt
#2 Shows how the dirt removed was mixed in with the grindings to save material.  Again, it shows no room left the put the actual asphalt.
#3 Shows the same picture after asphalt.  The thin layer of asphalt is why there are already weeds coming through in picture #4. This picture was sent the ***** (the manager that was here last week)

I've also attached the specs that I googled for residential asphalt driveways which is also what the project manager told me he planned on doing to justify the price
    Sincerely,

We brought a crew out to repair the area ************** wanted filled.  He refused our services because we were not doing the whole driveway. **** has never ignored **************.  Please see attached contract, the dimensions and scope of work is not what ************** is claiming.

I am rejecting this response because:

When she told me they were sending a crew, I asked several times what they planned on doing.  She kept telling me that I would need to talk to the crew when they got here.  Had I known what the plan was, I would have told them that it would not have been acceptable.  They wanted to cut a hole in the driveway and do a dry patch.  They came to do one patch but there are four spots that needed fixing.  I am a retired contractor and know that a dry patch on new asphalt would have made a bad situation even worse.  The asphalt is so thin that after two months I already have weeds growing through the asphalt.  Because of the thinness of the asphalt, water goes through it like cheesecloth and I will continue to have problem with weeds.  Just fixing the four spots will not fix the problem and I will continue to have to fight weeds coming through the porous asphalt job. I did tell her that I would accept having both driveways sealed if it was done properly.

    Sincerely,

We were shown beautiful pictures of what we were supposed to receive. No way close. Cheapest materials, poor execution, and they abandoned us with their mess in our yard. They RAN. Offered us $450 to bail, leaving us thousands behind in labor and materials that were used. The contractors 3at least three people on site for Palm) said it had to be ripped up and redone because it is so poorly done. I still have a valid list of repairs from the last month and a half. They dont care. They also did not complete the contract.

Palm Construction has reached out to *** and ***** both and neither of them have responded to my requests to discuss.  I received a message from ************* stating she was angry with her husband that he had not responded and that she has an illness and can not  deal with this situation, however she has been able to go to social media and the BBB.  We are open to discussing this issue and resolving this matter.
