I am writing to file a formal complaint against Green Leaf Tree Services regarding unauthorized charges at my property.Details of the Complaint:Service Provided: Tree ***** grinding and additional ***** work.Service Date(s): Initial service on 5/9/2024, follow-up service on 6/14/2024.Amount Charged: $800 (unauthorized additional charges). On 5/7/2024, I communicated with ****** from Green Leaf Tree Services regarding the grinding of tree stumps on my property. We agreed that they would perform the service on 5/9/2024. After the initial service, it was evident that some areas needed further grinding. I contacted Green Leaf Tree Services to address the incomplete work.On 6/3/2024, ****** confirmed via text message that they would return to touch up the original work at no extra charge. The text message explicitly stated, "*****, can I request that after we grind this ***** a little further that you give us an additional ****** review? You might say that the ***** needed a little bit more work being that it was so big and our company came out at no extra charge"(iPhone_95_ and 20650443).However, after the follow-up service on 6/14/2024, I received an invoice for $800, which included charges for work I did not authorize. This invoice contradicts the previous assurance that the additional work would be completed at no extra charge. I contacted the company to dispute the charges, but they insisted on the payment and have not provided a satisfactory resolution.I believe this situation involves unethical business practices, including unauthorized charges and misleading communication. I kindly request the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and assist in resolving the dispute. I am seeking a refund for the unauthorized charges and assurance that such practices will not continue.Attached are relevant documents and communications, including the text messages exchanged with Green Leaf Tree Services, for your reference.
