    I entered into contract with Fly Guys Construction to re-roof a building on my property on April 30, 2022. On May 2, 2022, Fly Guys requested a deposit of $8,989.00 via wire transfer to purchase materials for the job and stated that material prices would be increasing 17% in a couple of days. I wired the money to the routing number and account provided that same day. over approximately the next 6 months, I was told at least 4 times that the work would start in in couple of or a few weeks. On October 21, 2022, I contacted Fly Guys owner *********************** (*******) by phone to discuss the delay and we agreed to cancel the contract and he would issue a refund of my $8,989.00 minus $500 for his estimating efforts within ***** days. On December 29, 2022, I contacted ****** via email and asked for an immediate refund, coordination on scheduling mediation per the contract clause requiring mediation prior to filing a civil suit, or immediate litigation. Today is January 9, ********************************************** a response to my December 29 email. I have reported this incident to the **************************************** (Case 23-000153). Fly Guys Construction and *********************** ******* have other complaints against them filed with the ********************* A Sheriff's deputy spoke to ****** today and he is refusing to honor his previous agreement to cancel the contract and refund my money.
