      2 items from order number ********* were returned via *** pickup arranged by Costco. *** tracking shows both items were received by Costco on 7/1/22. On 7/5/22 Costco issued a refund for only 1 of the 2 items in the amount of $200.44. The refund should have totaled $400.88 for both items. I proceeded to contact Costco customer service regarding the missing $200.44 refund. The agent acknowledged the receipt of the return and the missing refund and claimed it was a system error. I was advised a claim would be submitted and a refund would be issued within 72 hours. No refund was issued after 72 hours. I again contacted customer service and was told this would be escalated. The agent again said I would receive a refund within 72 hours. Again no refund posted within the time interval. I contacted Costco 5+ times regarding this issue, each time the agent would say the same thing; either that a case would be submitted or escalated and that I would receive a refund within 72 hours. Each time I asked what the previous agent did and each time I was told they didn't do "something" either correctly or the way this agent was going to do it. Each time no refund would be issued. I don't understand why it is so difficult for Costco to correct an acknowledged error. This should be a simple credit issuance. Any other company that acknowledged an error would have issued the credit immediately. It is now 22 days since Costco has received the return and I still do not have a refund.

      A couple weeks ago, I received the attached postcard from Costco. A reasonable interpretation of its meaning is that the "Special Offer" noted on the card advertises a one-year Costco Shop Card for new Executive Members at a cost of $20 and a Costco Shop card for new Gold Star Members for $10. Based on this information, on 7/22/22 I went to the Costco store in ************ to sign-up for membership. I was told by the Costco employee at the Service Desk that, in fact, the deal was a $20 DISCOUNT off the regular $120 Executive membership fee and a $10 DISCOUNT off the regular $60 Gold Star membership fee. I noted to the Costco employee that NOWHERE on the card is this stated as being the deal and that this advertising was, in fact, dishonest and deceptive. The Costco employee said something to the effect of "Yes, a number of other (potential) Costco customers had also mentioned this to her.

      Costco reached out and spoke to ****************** over the phone.   He read the verbiage on the card to me word for word.  He also attempted to send a picture that was not received. It was explained to ****************** that it says, by joining and setting up Auto Renew we will mail a shop card (gift card) within 4-6 weeks after and the fine print says how much the membership is to join. 

       

      ****************** wishes the wording was clearer, that you have to pay the full membership fee and afterwards we will send out the shop card. He feels it is not worded properly. I let him know I would address his feedback with our marketing department.  He understands that it does not say the membership only costs $10 to join or $20 to join.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I'd like to correct a few points regarding Costco's response to my complaint:

       

      1) I did not "attempt" to email the Costco representative (**************) a picture of the postal advertisement.  Rather, I did, in fact, email it to her at the email address she provided (***************************************).  As far as I know, the email was sent successfully - a) it did not get returned to me as an improper address and b) immediately after entering ****************** email address, a photo of her popped ** in the address window, presumably confirming her identity.  If she did not receive that email, the problem may lie on the Costco end.  The BBB successfully received a photo of the Costco ad in my original complaint but I'm happy to resend it in this email.

      2) "It was explained to ****************** that it says, by joining and setting up Auto Renew we will mail a shop card (gift card) within 4-6 weeks..."  ************** did VERBALLY inform me that this is how the offer works.  However, as I pointed out to **************, and as I reiterate now, the written verbiage on the card in no way conveys this meaning.  Rather, the information on the card gives the obvious impression that the cost of an Executive membership is $20 and the cost of a Gold Star membership is $10.

      3) "He understands that it does not say the membership only costs $10 to join or $20 to join."  No, I never said I "understood" that.  I said that I accepted ****************** verbal interpretation of the meaning of the card.  Nonetheless, the current wording remains deceptive and misleading.  I invite any neutral party to read the card and give their interpretation of its meaning.

      I bought a refrigerator from Costco in July 2020. I have had to have this refrigerator repaired four times already. The compressor has broken twice as well as the conversion. I have had to throw away food and take off work for many appointments. Some appointments where they had to order parts and come back and could not even fix it the same day. Costco told me they would resolve this issue with ** and they failed to call me back as well as they failed to have ** come out on July 19 when it was scheduled. I spoke to a manager who was supposed to take care of this. I asked for my money back and they refused this refrigerator should not be sold at Costco if they cant stand by their product.

      In June 2022 I purchased a Groupon Costco membership Deal package, which included $40 Costco Digital shop card. I successfully redeemed my Groupon voucher at my local Costco on July 03/2022, and expected to receive the shop card via email. Only so far I received a $40 of $250 online coupon but not a shopping card, contacted both Groupon and Costco, Groupon provided Costco contact but it was unhelpful, so now I am at loss of $40.

      I placed an order on June 30, 2022. The items were lost in transit and later delivered completely thawed. I let Costco know about the issue regarding the items being lost in which I filed on July 3, 2022. Costco did replace alot of the items already but one of the items ordered "Impossible patties" qty 10 is out of stock so they said I'd be refunded instead. I still haven't received the refund. Order number is *********. Thank you!

      We purchased and returned a furniture set from Costco. We have not received the refund for the returned furniture.

      Spent over an hour trying to return an item for which full refund for amount paid was refused. Been a member for years, faced ridiculous treatment for a $129 item. In the scope of money we've spent at Costco, this is unbelievable. Despite manager approval, staff refused to agree to the refund and continued with unsatisfactory behavior, denying the full refund amount. Disgusting how customer is mistreated and how customer time is utterly disrespected. ******************** staff get paid by the hour while the customer does not. Hard earned money goes into making a purchase that is rightfully refundable.

      From AGM @ W1070 - I spoke with member Suba S. about her unpleasant shopping experience at the **** park Costco. We discussed her issues at the location and apologized for her wasted time and any inconvenience we might have caused.  There will be retraining of our employees in regards to these issues.

       

      The member should have received the original purchase price as a refund. We are refunding the difference in value and an additional value of $25 for her inconvenience on a shop card that can be used at any Costco location for her wasted time and the inconveniences this caused.

      I sent this email to Costco corporate office due to the way I was treated at the *******,** Costco pharmacy. Hi ******************,I apologize if this is not the correct way to file a complaint against one of your pharmacies but I didnt know what to do (I will also be filing a complaint with my insurance company Premera and also the ******** ********** of ******* Code Enforcement of **, Better Business Bureau, as well as any other organization that I can find that will help me), but Im trying to resolve an issue that I recently had with your *******, ** pharmacy. I just moved here 2 weeks ago from *******,**. My oldest daughter will be completing a 1 yr fellowship at the ** Pain Center from July 15, 2022 through August 31, 2023. I moved here to help her care for our 21 mo old granddaughter while she completes this fellowship as her husband remains in ** for his job and we will move back to ** after she completes her fellowship. I have a long time doctor in ** for healthcare that I did not want to change as I will be moving back and didnt want a doctor here in WA for just this one year due to the long time medications Ive been taking since 2008 and the difficulty of even finding primary care doctors who will take patients on these meds. I began working with my ******* **************************** almost a year ago to formulate a plan on how to continue my monthly prescription refills. I contacted the *******, ** Costco pharmacy 2 months ago to finalize our plan and spoke with **** during that call. I have been taking hydrocodone and fentanyl patches since 2008 after spending 2.5 years at *********************** Pain Clinic trying hundreds of medication, therapy, psychological counseling to treat chronic pain that was diagnosed in 2008. I had been on the highest dosages of both medications through these years and have weaned myself down to my current dosages, but have been on these medications for over 14 continuous years.       Pur shed high dollar tires from Costco located ***************************************************** have had issues with the tires every time go in with issue am met with stall tactics. They do not honor warranty on their tires.

      Costco honors tire warranties when warranty terms are met.  In this case, the condition rending the need to replace the tires was most likely caused by mechanical issues on the vehicle.
