I emailed Aloha in response to a 4/28 advertising email on 5/1, mentioning I'd like to get a hedge trimmed. This is a huge hedge and the quotes I ended up getting ranged from $1600 at the low end to $2800 on the upper end. It was a many-person, all day job. I'd have been content if Aloha said this wasn't in their wheelhouse (the email just says "Shrub or small tree trimming" and it's hard to tell if "giant shrub" counts, so it would be fair). I received no response at all.Eleven days later (around 6 AM on 5/12), I got the following email:"Sorry I missed this email. It got buried in my inbox and I just came across it! If you still need that shrub to be trimmed, if you can send over a picture or two so I can get a better idea on the scope of work that would be helpful. Thanks, JB "I immediately sent pictures of said shrub, that same morning at 9 AM. No response at all. On 5/24 I sent a politely worded email where the maximum rudeness level I allowed myself was "I have to admit this was pretty frustrating.". Because it was fairly frustrating... I then gave up on hiring them and found someone else. The story doesn't end here, or there wouldn't be a review. This is the kind of customer service you get from *******************************************. Today, I replied to an email from them soliciting work to ask to be taken off the list because of ... well everything above here precludes me from ever hiring them again, shouldn't it? ... and JB's response was (again, 100% verbatim how this guy talks to customers):"I didn't find your projects to be worthy of our time, so I guess that would be a good idea for you. You have been removed from our contact list."From my perspective, if you don't want someone's business, either charge so much money that it would make you want their business if they paid the asking price, or tell them to go away. Saying their home projects are "unworthy" is frankly rude and unprofessional and it would be a mistake to hire them. Learn from my failure.
