I have an outdoor tap that was leaking and called for it to be repaired. Someone came out the next day and he went under the house and stated a pipe needed to be replace, as well as the tap and gave me a quote. I thought it was a little high but told him to fix it. I had to pay up front and when he was finished he stated I would have to affix the tap to the house with caulking and then s**** it in place myself. If I would have known this ahead of time, I would have called someone else that could have done the whole job. I was told that the company doesn't do that. I then asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. It never was. I certainly won't be doing business with them again - what else don't they do once they get your money and start the repairs. Now I will have to hire a handyman to finish the job they started.

My family has been without heat since January 14th 2025. Dear came out the same day and was unable to get the heat fixed. They came out again on the 20th of January and still not heat. Mind you this is the middle of winter and my mom has cancer. Then nothing again until February 14th and still no heat. The next time they came was March 19th, no heat, then again on April7th they were scheduled. This was a no call, no show. They did finally show up again on April 10th, with no heat again. They said that is may be an electrical is and scheduled me with an electrician. My appt was for April 23rd. They called me that morning to see if they can come in the morning, but I was working and said I would keep my afternoon appointment. They call me that afternoon and said that the electrician that was supposed to be at my house was on another appointment and wouldn't make it to my house. I was fuming by then. We rescheduled on Monday the 28th for Wednesday the 30. Again I called at 3:30 and they assured me that some one was finishing up at an appointment and will be at my house. By 5:07 pm there was no one at my house. Another no call, no show. I called to complain and they tell me that my appointment was for the 1st of May. Ummm no way that was true. And if that was true why would the customer service *** tell me that they will be there after the appointment they were working on, on the 30th? I am so frustrated with this company. I should have done more research on other companies. This system isn't even 3 years old yet. The amount of money I owe on this and this is how they treat there customers is ridiculous.

We are sorry to hear that there was confusion with scheduling and confirming the visits. We have finished the project with our final visit on 5/2/25, and we believe that all matters are now resolved.

We are sorry to hear that the customer is not satisfied with their furnace installation, which was done over 2 years ago. We were able to fit the furnace into the desired space by the customer, which passed the mechanical inspection and is fully functional. We were also able to provide follow up services, despite the customer's neglect in maintaining the equipment. We have followed up at no cost to the customer to inspect and give recommendations for how to improve the system overall, but can only make improvements that the customer agrees to do. We hope that the customer is able to find an HVAC, Plumbing and Electric company that meets their service standards.

**Exploiting a Disabled Veteran - Dear Services' Fraudulent Practices Causing Unneeded Hardship**I am writing to share my deep frustration and concern regarding **Dear Services**, who exploited my disabled veteran uncle during an already traumatic time. After the loss of a loved one, my uncle, who is already dealing with physical and mental health challenges, was taken advantage of by this company in the most unscrupulous way.Dear Services targeted my uncle when he was at his most vulnerable, using high-pressure tactics to convince him to pay for services that were either unnecessary or never even delivered. They promised immediate help and charged him for exorbitant fees under false pretenses. The stress, anxiety, and financial burden caused by this exploitation have only added to the pain of our grieving family. We are not standing by. As part of our efforts to seek justice and ensure that this kind of fraudulent activity is stopped, we are contacting the **State Attorney General**, the ******** the ************************************** (****)**, and other organizations that specialize in investigating and addressing this type of exploitation. We are determined to hold this company accountable for the harm theyve caused, especially to a vulnerable, disabled veteran who has already faced so many challenges in life. Its heartbreaking to see a company take advantage of someone who served our country, and I urge anyone considering their services to proceed with extreme caution. **Dear Services** has caused significant emotional and financial distress, and we will continue to pursue every available avenue to ensure they are held accountable for their fraudulent practices.

The individual who submitted this review was not present for the agreement that was made with the customer, nor were they involved at the time of the visit, the sale or installation. The customer called our company to request the service of installing heaters in their home, which was agreed to and done by our technicians. Our pricing is standard flat rate, and is disclosed before the project is signed, and does not target or exploit anyone. The work was completed by a licensed technician, and the heaters function properly. Our agreement states, and the customer is informed ahead of time, that we are not responsible for patching drywall or paint. The work was completed and delivered as agreed.

******AVOID DEAR SERVICES*******I purchased a new furnace and heat pump from Dear Services, 2 years ago. With new furnace, they offered free annual maintenance check. After maintenance check, they explained the furnace wasn't operating correctly and ductwork should be checked. They found some water damage on ductwork and offered repair services of $7k, $13k, and $22k, depending on what "package" we select. They really tried to SELL THE NEED for repair work; explaining furnace/heat pump will function better and decrease energy bill. Thank God I refused the repairs!! I contacted a 2nd service company; they inspected the furnace and ductwork and found NO DAMAGES, NOTHING CONCERNING, EVERYTHING OPERATED CORRECTLY. I also explained the situation with a 3rd service company (professional ************** they concluded repairs are not necessary. For any home repairs, always get additional quotes!!

This company is a scam. They front load their sales team, and promise great deliver, service, etc. then fail to deliver on all fronts. We have given them more second chances than is warranted, given that every single time they actually show up to our house (that's another issue) it's always a $20k+ job. And where is the service they are supposed to provide for the service contract we signed and paid for?Great question. We pay. They don't deliver. It's as simple as that. I'm exceptionally unhappy. I've asked for:1. Billing statements. They have not complied, or responded. 2. For a timeline of arrival. They have never adhered to this.3. For multiple call backs to discuss services. Never happens. 4. For a copy of our service contract. No compliance, no response. 5. Sending out unqualified and untrained techs. Happens every time. They come. They send out a sales person, who suggests some major upgrade/installation, and it's another huge, multi-day project. In fact, one tech, after repeatedly telling him to not leave doors open (indoor only cats) and they didn't need the doors open for the job they were doing in our attic, not only left the door to our garage wide open, both front and back garage doors open. This last install, the first system (we have 2) which we were told needed replacing, at another $30k, our fire alarm went off, and called the fire department out at 6am. The reason? Great question. No one has an answer, not even the service tech who installed it and came back to inspect. The second install of the 2 systems that got replaced, malfunctioned, and our heat went off, plummeting our house into cold temps that were almost unbearable. It took over 3 days to get someone out to fix this. Mind you, this was a $30k install, that went awry, all around. The installer did fix it. But why is it so much work and effort on our part just to get them to do their job? That we pay handsomely for. I'd suggest you look elsewhere for Electrical Services.

We are sorry to hear that *** is not satisfied with the services we provided for her home. We would like to respond to the points brought forth. 1.) We have provided the billing statements via email on 12/3/24, and status shows that it was opened by the recipient. 2.) The timeline for arrival is a window of time, which is an estimate and is subject to change based on factors outside of DEAR's control. We do our best to arrange the best time for arrival and to communicate if anything major changes. 3.) We have spoken with the customer and responded to the requests made. 4.) The contract has been sent via email, as stated in #1.  5.) We support the trades, and those who wish to pursue blue collar service jobs. We provide training for all field staff, and do our best to send teams who support quality on every job. Regarding the pets in the house, we strongly advise our customers to keep their animals in a safe place during the installation for this very reason. We are not responsible for caretaking of pets while we are installing equipment in customer's homes, which can involve frequent trips to the vehicle, supply runs, cutting, ample space in various areas of the home and proper ventilation to ensure safety. It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that their pets are secure during this process.

We are glad to hear that the issues stated have been fixed. We appreciate the feedback, and will continue to strive for quality and communication for every project.

DEAR Services has been the most uncooperative and corporate greedy business I have ever dealt with. They installed a $30,000 system in my hone. After receiving invoice there was No cost for HVAC because everything is in packages. We can show you on our computer screen, but can't provide in writing. They also promised to do Construction and told me that is $7500 of the $30,000. When I refused that service they told me a component has already been started, so they will only reimburse half. I am disabled with a speech impairment and wanted to talk to a supervisor. I either must call or write. The only person that handles complaints is a person who allows the person in the complaint to respond. ****** concerning and their responses are personal attacks on the customer. Instead of a win-win, they are all about we win, you lose, and you should be happy to have us.

We called Dear Electric because out air conditioning went out. They came out on three separate occasions. They informed us that we needed a new *************** The total for the product and services was $2500.00. When all was said and done, a small part was added to the conditioner, and the mother board, that I paid for was not put in the unit. (It was an expensive piece.) When I asked for an itemized itinerary, they sent me a copy of the bill twice. I need the itemization for insurance, which will not be paid with out the itemization. We have called the Company more than twelve times. They called back the first couple of times and made some excuses, now they refuse to return our calls all together. I just want a refund for the parts not used, an itemized list of services, and a refund for the part(s) not used, that I paid for. I have never complained about a company before, but this is a great deal of money for me and I would like the money back for services/items that I paid for and services not used.

We are sorry to hear that the customer is not satisfied with the invoices sent. DEAR Services does not provide itemized invoices with each part listed. Our solutions are all-inclusive, and we do not charge for the individual parts. The customer did receive the repair package as originally agreed to, though the parts needed were ultimately updated. There is no refund due, as the repair was completed as agreed.

Had a yearly maintenance on my A/C that was working great. Stopped working just a few hours after they left. Would not come back to fix as it wasnt a priority appointment for 3 days, when heat was 90 degrees. Would give negative stars if I could.

We are sorry to hear that the customer is not satisfied with the speed of our response during the season with the highest demand for HVAC and AC services. We are unable to locate a match for the customer from the name or email address, and can not confirm their identity or provide a response.

Horrible company. My company did some work them 3 months ago and they wont pay us, they just keep coming up with excuses of why the money hasnt been paid. When we ask to speak to someone who handles the money not just an employee they just dont respond or say they are handling it with the accounting team yet they wont give us any info. They have lied multiple times saying our check is in the mail when it isnt. Dear services is a scam dont use them
