Everything went as planned with the estimate. The workers who packed and moved us were wonderful. The morning they brought our things to our new house, the owner, ****, had changed all the numbers. From $350/hr to $800/hr. From $350 for long haul, to $800 for long haul. She wanted $3,000 more for doing exactly what was originally estimated. She is a *****. I want to take her to small claims court, but my ***** said no.

******************* move was complex and labor intensive which required 8 men, 3 shuttle trucks and a 200 foot long carry including a gravel switchback. The crew worked extremely hard and long to complete a very difficult move.
We did not charge ******************* $800/hr for her move. When the final bill was presented to *******************, she refused to pay for the move in full as it was $1800 more than she wanted to pay. **** spoke with ******************* and agreed that she didn't have to pay the additional $1800. ******************* paid for the move minus the $1800 that we credited to her.

      **** is lying.

Her estimator came to my home, calculated the volumes, took pictures of all the terrain, and I actually followed him up the hill as he videotaped the switchbacks and steps in order for her to see what it was like. We did  NOT change houses, or make it steeper or more difficult. We were given an estimate, agreed to it, and the job proceeded as estimated: except for one detail. Between the time the job was estimated and the time they came to do the job, my husband and I had already removed and moved one large box truck full of our belongings ourselves. So, if anything, it should have been less, not more. My contract shows $350/ hour. The day they brought our belongings to our new home, it showed $800/ hour. She literally held our stuff hostage. Their lead guy was embarrassed, told me this happens all the time, but by the time I finally paid the additional $2,000 (she wanted $4,000 more), they had already unloaded our stuff.

She is a ***** and a liar. If her estimator made the mistake, that wasnt my fault. Both the contract I agreed to and the one she made up on that last day, showed **** hours, 3 days, and long hauls. Nothing changed except the rate she charged.

I can look for the pictures of the contract, and the amount of stuff we moved ourselves if that helps. (I dont have a picture of our truck, but husband has many trucks. ) I do have pictures of all the stuff and furniture we moved ourselves

      Thank you

Just found her manufactured contact. She says 7 people on that one, not 8. We did not have that many. We had 5 people for the packing, and 6 for the moving days.none of them worked longer than originally bid. There werent 3 shuttle trucks either, one large and one box truck.

As per the attached signed **** of Lading, we did not charge *********************** any of the charges that she is referring to. We actually charged her less for the hours worked and did not charge her for any other additional charges.

I am rejecting this response because:

she says there were 8 people and 3 trucks. Thats a lie. There were 5 people and 2 trucks with our things in them. The ORIGINAL contract was for ********. I have never seen this bill of landing, other than the portion in the picture above. She is a liar, and her crew told me she does this all the time

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

      ****,

We did not charge you for 8 men and 3 trucks. You only paid $6,000 and your note of "Per ***** $6,000 paid in full" was initialed by you, so you did see the Bill of Lading and signed/initialed it. Please see attached SIGNED/INITIALED Bill of Lading.

We do not owe you any additional money as we did discount your move heavily. I show that we had more than 6 guys on this job. We sent out 7 guys and we did not charge you for the trucks (On the Bill of Lading it says "Shuttle $800, which we did not charge you for.) We charged you only for labor which was 7 men @ $430/hr for **** hours = $5,805 + the long carry fee of $350 (on original estimate) for a total of $6,155.00 and then discounted your move even more to a full payment of $6,000.00 as per your demands, which **** agreed to.

We will not offer you any additional compensation as we did not charge you for many of the charges as there were more additional fees that should have been charged due to the huge complexity of your move.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

i am out of town and do not have access to my documents.

I would like to get back to you after July 4. I will take photos of our contract to show that the job did not change (other than the fact that we moved a full truck of stipulated ourselves before they came.). The scope of the job, the address of the job, NONE of that changed. The only thing that changed was the amount she wanted to charge us, and only on the day they delivered our things.

      thank you

please send me another link to respond to after july 4
